Every year, our plantations are visited by dedicated professionals from across the industry – and last week we had the pleasure of welcoming the young growers’ knowledge-sharing group from Danske Juletræer.

During the visit, John Frandsen shared his inspiring journey – from the decision to enter the Christmas tree industry to building a large-scale production in Denmark. A story about courage, long-term strategy, and uncompromising quality.

Leader pruning completed 🌲

This week marks the completion of leader pruning on more than 250,000 Nordmann firs.

We now continue shaping the trees to achieve dense, uniform trees, ensuring that our customers receive exactly what they expect 🌲

In Viborg yesterday, I spoke about the Christmas tree industry from an outside perspective.
When production is planned many years ahead, stability becomes more important than price.

Through cooperation within the industry — including through the Danish Christmas Tree Association — we work towards greater transparency, common standards, and supply security for our European partners.

For wholesalers and retailers, this means fewer surprises and better planning several seasons ahead.

Danish Christmas trees are a natural product grown with patience and long-term responsibility.

We look forward to dialogue with good partners across Europe.

Owner of Dane Christmas Tree, John Frandsen, gave a presentation today in Vissenbjerg to 150–200 members of the Danish Christmas Tree Association on the Christmas tree industry from an outside perspective 🌲

🎄 The Danish Christmas Tree Association have invited me to give a presentation on the christmas tree industry, seen from the outside.

The presentation will take place on 24 February in Vissenbjerg and on 25 February in Viborg.

I will touch on:
▪️ How I experience the christmas tree industry as a new entrant
▪️ The strengths and opportunities I see when comparing the industry with other sectors and networks I come from
▪️ My overall thoughts on development, professionalization, business and long-term value creation
▪️ As well as personal experiences in building and running companies where capital intensity, time horizon, patience and culture are absolutely central
