🌾 ¿Molienda en piedra o molienda refinada? La diferencia está en cuánto del grano llega realmente a la harina.

La molienda en piedra permite aprovechar el grano completo, conservando de forma natural el salvado, el germen, la fibra y una mayor parte de sus micronutrientes.

En cambio, durante la molienda refinada se separan algunas partes del grano para obtener una harina más blanca y uniforme. Como consecuencia, se pierden ciertos nutrientes y, por esta razón, muchas harinas refinadas son posteriormente enriquecidas con vitaminas y minerales.*

Why does the way we mill grain matter? 🌾

Stone milling is more than a traditional method — it is a way of turning whole grains into flour while keeping the natural components of the kernel together.

The bran, germ and endosperm each contribute something important. Together, they provide dietary fibre, vitamins, minerals, protein and other naturally occurring compounds.

By grinding the whole kernel between millstones, stone milling can produce wholemeal flour that retains these valuable parts of the grain, resulting in flour with the natural character, flavour and nutritional value of the whole grain.
At ENGSKO, we have spent more than 100 years developing millstones and stone-milling technology, helping millers around the world turn grains into high-quality flour for human consumption.

🇩🇰 From Denmark to Austria 🇦🇹 — three Grindmaster® 950 mills ready for delivery!
Three Grindmaster® 950 stone grinding mills are packed and ready to leave ENGSKO for their new home in Austria.
These machines are equipped with automatic presetting of the millstones, providing easier and more precise control of the stone setting during the milling process.
At the heart of each Grindmaster® are the original ENGSKO millstones, combining our long experience in stone milling with a robust machine designed for industrial production.
With a capacity of up to 800 kg/h, the Grindmaster® 950 is built for milling operations where reliability, consistency and control of the grinding process matter.
The machines have passed through our workshop, completed final preparation, and are now packed and ready for their journey to Austria. 🇦🇹

From Denmark to Costa Rica 🇩🇰 🇨🇷

Another set of 950 mm ENGSKO millstones is being prepared for our valued customer, Café Rey.

We are truly grateful for their continued trust in our products. Every order represents more than equipment—it is an opportunity to support a customer’s production, craftsmanship, and long-term ambitions.

ENGSKO’s millstone-making tradition began in Denmark in 1900. More than a century later, we continue to combine that experience with careful production and documented food-contact testing. In 2025, an ENGSKO grinding-stone sample passed the applicable tests performed by SGS, including testing for lead and cadmium release.

We are grateful for every project that gives us the opportunity to put our experience to work in support of a customer’s ambition.

Here at Øvre Abål Farm, the stainless-steel pipework, filtration system and supporting equipment are being carefully fitted around the main mill—one detail at a time.

The goal is not simply to produce flour. A stone milling plant enables producers to create distinctive whole-grain products. When the flour is not heavily sifted, more of the grain—including its fibre-rich outer layers—can remain in the finished product.
