It’s a new year, new career for our former senior talent attraction partner, Anastasiia Bonderanko - who, after developing her tech skills, has been hired as a Business Analyst in our Mortgage program. A remarkable achievement!

Entering into the tech sphere required a lot of determination on Anastasiia’s side. "I knew if I didn’t do it now, I wouldn’t ever do it.” she explains.

With BEC’s funding and the support of experienced colleagues, Anastasiia enrolled on a Post Graduate course in Big Data at Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology University in Warsaw, completed 230 Udemy Business videos on subjects such as SQL, business analysis fundamentals, and BPMN 2.0, as well as consulted her manager and colleagues on career opportunities at BEC.

In her new role for a month now, Anastasiia explains, "I already can solve incidents on my own. Every time I scratch a task from the Jira board, I know I am helping a client in one of our banks.”

Her self-development journey exemplifies the power curiosity, ambition and continuous learning. Congratulations, Anastasiia on your career achievement! 🎉

2024 is in the books! 🎊 Where do we even start with the highlights?

💜 At the beginning of the year, we launched Scoutz, significantly increasing our deliveries.

🚀 We initiated our tech transformation and set it to continue in 2025 with significant investments in business solutions and technology.

🤝 We’ve entered more strategic fintech partnerships to transform our tech landscape for the BEC banks, enhancing solutions in credit, trade finance, and more.

📈 Our Talent Program in Denmark and Poland continued to grow, allowing BEC to find top young talents in the market.

We also celebrated 60 years of the BEC community and are excited to look towards the future together. We have great ambitions for 2025 as we’ll continue our efforts to make BEC simpler and more efficient for our customers. We're excited to welcome 19 aspiring IT talents at BEC! Yes, this week marks the start of the BEC Talent Program, our one-year development program aimed at helping graduates grow their IT careers. 🎉

Our team has just grown by 📊 13 business analysts and 💻 6 software engineers.

In August, our newest talents will continue onboarding, training and integration. They will dive into extensive technical and business training, equipping themselves with the knowledge and skills before joining the designed teams. 💪 They will have an opportunity to meet our CEO Jesper Nielsen, and gain insights into the financial sector with a training on Danish banking. 🏦🇩🇰

BEC Talent Program (growtogether.dk) has been running since 2014, helping young talents in Denmark grow their IT careers in an international environment, offering professional experience in the fintech industry. 🚀

🎉 Alice Grünfeld Selected for the Legal 500 GC Powerlist 2024 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that Alice Grünfeld, head of Legal & Compliance, has once again been recognized by the Legal 500 GC Powerlist. This marks her third consecutive year on the list which highlights the best general counsels and senior in-house legal counsels from across the region.

Alice was the first lawyer at BEC when she joined the company 17 years ago. Now, with 21 colleagues in the Legal & Compliance team, they ensure compliance in all matters that could have a legal impact and they are trusted advisors on strategic matters across the company. 🏦🤝

Congratulations to Michelle Dupont and Rasmus Rosenville Nielsen who have taken on a new challenge in BEC and moved to Customer Consultants team. 🚀

There they will work closer with BEC banks. With the skills and mindset they take from the operations-side of BEC, they can offer unique perspectives on helping our customers.

Daniel Meilgaard Jensen, manager of the Customer Consultants team explains more on why internal movers are so welcomed in his team, “We strive to understand what matters most to our customers and internal movers, like Rasmus and Michelle, bring greater curiosity into the team. They have that valuable ability to keep asking ‘why’ and that can bring the insights that really challenge our perspective and improve our work.” 💪

About 125 BEC leaders completed their learning journey with the BEC Leadership Academy last year. We aren’t stopping there. 🚀 In 2024, the learning and growth continues for our new and newly appointed leaders, too. They’re essential to not only steer the course, but chart new horizons with our customers.

The goal of the Leadership Academy is to harmonize ways of working in BEC and build higher-performing and more engaged teams. Leaders explore how to drive transformation at BEC while running the business. An extra benefit is strengthening our network amongst leaders across BEC. 🤝

Group six finished the last training module this week. During the three modules, they covered ways of working, leadership and lifecycle management, risk and architecture. 💪

Thank you to all participants for your great engagement and determination to grow as leaders and to all colleagues who made the academy a reality. 👏

This year, Claus Visø has, in line with his career goals, moved from the Ops Process Enablement team to join the Corporate Strategy team as a Management consultant. 🧳

Since joining BEC in 2021, Claus had a clear vision on his career direction — to work with more people and bigger processes. 🎯 Already on the way to completing his Executive Masters in Business development at Copenhagen Business School, Claus and his manager, Sys Mortensen, in the long-term looked for a new position in BEC where Claus could stretch and test his new business knowledge.

Now in a new role in the Corporate Strategy team, Claus can challenge his new knowledge as well as apply his knowledge about BEC in a new corner of the organization. Taking an internal-first approach to hiring at BEC, means we celebrate when our talent moves roles in company. Well done on the career move, Claus! 🚀👏
