Do I Need To Be Tech Savvy To Build An Online Business?

One of the biggest myths I hear is… ‘I’m not tech savvy enough to do an online business.’

And honestly, if you had met me when I started, you probably would have laughed.

I wasn’t a digital marketer.

I didn’t know what a funnel was.

I didn’t know automation, lead magnets, or half the words people throw around online today.

What I did know was how to learn.

And that’s really the secret.

Most people think successful people started out knowing everything.

They didn’t.

They learned one step at a time.

That’s why having training, systems, and a community matters so much.

You don’t have to be the expert on day one.

You just have to be willing to stay curious, follow directions, and keep going when something feels new.

I always tell people this…

Nobody is born knowing how to build an online business.

Every person you see succeeding today was once a beginner who decided to start anyway.

And if they can learn it, there’s a pretty good chance you can too.

Happy Birthday to me. 🤍

This morning Skye caught a video of me going up the escalator at Union Station and for some reason it made me stop and think.

When I was younger, I thought accomplishments were the things everyone could see. The promotions, the business, the house, the big milestones.

The older I get, the more I think some of the biggest accomplishments are the things nobody sees.

Getting through days you weren’t sure you could get through.

Learning to laugh again after life has knocked you flat.

Finding peace with things you can’t change.

Learning who you are and becoming comfortable with that person.

Life hasn’t always gone the way I planned it. Some years were harder than I ever imagined they would be. Some brought blessings I never saw coming.

But here I am, another birthday, still moving forward.

Maybe that’s what I was thinking about on that escalator.

Not how far I’ve got left to go, but how far I’ve already come.

And for today, that feels like enough.

What Products Do I Have To Sell?
Hi, I’m Deborah from Nova Scotia
One of the biggest questions people ask is… ‘What exactly do I have to sell?’

And honestly, that’s where this is a little different from what most people expect online.

This isn’t about stocking products, shipping orders, or convincing people to buy things they don’t want.

What we actually do is learn digital marketing skills and use social media to connect people to information and online opportunities.

We partner with established companies, but we’re not personally out there pushing products all day.

Most people are surprised to learn it’s actually more about learning simple systems and communication skills than ‘selling.’

The webinar is really just a snapshot of the big picture.

Once you’re inside, everything is explained step by step — including how people earn, what they actually do day to day, and whether it feels like a fit for you.

I Watched the Webinar and Still Don’t Understand
A lot of people watch the webinar and still feel like they don’t fully understand everything… and honestly, that’s normal.

The webinar is really meant to give you the big picture and help you see whether the idea even interests you in the first place.

It’s only about 90 minutes long, and there are a lot of layers to this business model, so it would honestly be impossible to explain every single detail all at once without overwhelming people.

That’s why the next steps exist.

Once someone decides they want to explore further, that’s when they get access to more detailed training, videos, explanations of the systems, how commissions work, and the bigger community.

For me personally, I didn’t understand every detail on day one either.

I just understood enough to know I wanted to learn more 🤍

Susan’s story feels so relatable to so many women 🤍

I think that’s what makes this community so special.

What if this June was the month you finally took a chance on yourself?

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through the year.

Maybe you started January with goals.

Maybe you told yourself this would be the year you’d travel more, worry less about money, or finally do something for yourself.

And then life happened.

I know because I’ve been there.

A few years ago, I took a hard look at retirement and realized I wasn’t as prepared as I thought I was. The plan we had in place wasn’t going to give us the lifestyle we’d worked so hard to build.

That realization sent me looking for something different.

Not another job.

Not a get-rich-quick scheme.

A real opportunity with enough potential to actually make a difference if I was willing to learn and stick with it.

Today I’m building an online business I genuinely enjoy. It gives me flexibility, choices, and the ability to work from wherever life happens to take me.

If you’ve ever found yourself wondering, “What’s next?” or “Could there be something more for me?” maybe it’s worth taking a closer look.

Sometimes one decision really can change the direction of your life. 🤍

I was watching a bee working away in the flowers this morning and it got me thinking.

He wasn't making a big announcement, wasn't trying to impress anyone. He didn't have a huge following cheering him on. Most people probably wouldn't even notice he was there.

He was simply doing his job.

Moving from flower to flower, collecting what he came for, trusting that if he kept doing the work, the results would take care of themselves.

I think sometimes we make things harder than they need to be. We spend so much time worrying about who is watching, how many people are paying attention, or whether we're making progress fast enough.Most good things in life don't happen all at once.

A garden doesn't bloom overnight. The business doesn't grow overnight. Relationships aren't built overnight.

Most of the things we value are created little by little, often when nobody is paying attention. The bee doesn't seem too concerned about any of that. He's busy doing the work.

Maybe there's a lesson in that for the rest of us. 🐝🤍

Well… I may have gotten carried away.

We came across a roadside stand selling gardening mulch. No cashier. No employee. Just bags of mulch and an honesty box.

So naturally, we loaded up.

The whole time I was standing there counting money into the box, I kept recounting it because I was convinced there was probably a camera somewhere watching.

I didn’t want to end up as the next “woman accidentally shortchanges roadside stand” video making the rounds on Facebook. 😂

Now the money is paid, the truck is loaded, and every one of these bags has to be hauled across the yard and spread around the garden.

Funny how they felt a lot lighter sitting beside the honesty box.

At this point, I think this cucumber is going to cost about $73, but we’re committed now.

And honestly, I still love the idea that there are places where people leave products by the road and trust complete strangers to do the right thing. 🤍🌱😄

Now if somebody could invent self-spreading mulch, I’d be first in line. 😂🌱🚜

Nobody Warns You About This Part of Retirement

I think a lot of us spend years looking forward to retirement.

We dream about having more time.

More freedom. Less rushing around.
And then one day it arrives.

The funny thing is, nobody really talks about what comes next.

Because being busy and feeling fulfilled aren’t always the same thing.

I’ve met a lot of women who have full calendars, wonderful families, and plenty to do.

But they’re still looking for something.
Not because anything is wrong.

Just because they know there’s another chapter in them.

Ruby arrived with a French braid, apparently that wasn't going to work.

She decided she wanted something different. Maybe a ponytail. Halfway through the makeover, she changed her mind again.

After careful consideration, she determined that letting it flow was the better choice.

I've learned not to question management.

I'm simply the hairstylist on call. 🤍🐾
