No two sailing yachts are quite the same. ⛵️

Just a few weeks ago, Eckernförde harbour was still full of yachts in the water, with stable weather making the most of the sailing season. Today, most boats have already moved into winter storage.

Looking back at these scenes, one thing stands out: the variety of designs and individual solutions on sailing yachts.

From a fixed windscreen combined with a sprayhood to a sprayhood on its own or a fixed doghouse. With or without a Targa arch. Different mainsheet arrangements and cockpit configurations.

The cockpit is just one example of how much a yacht’s design can vary — and how these details shape life on board.

At Saare Yachts, we know that the right solution depends on the people who sail the boat and the way they want to use it.

Keine Segelyacht gleicht der anderen. ⛵️

Vor knapp einem Monat sah es im Hafen von Eckernförde noch so aus: Viele Yachten lagen im Wasser, und das Wetter zeigte sich von seiner stabilen Seite. Inzwischen haben die meisten Boote ihren Platz im Winterlager gefunden.

Beim Blick auf diese Aufnahmen fällt besonders eines auf: die Vielfalt an Designs und individuellen Lösungen.

Feste Windschutzscheibe mit Sprayhood, nur eine Sprayhood oder ein festes Doghouse. Mit oder ohne Targa-Bügel. Unterschiedliche Großschotführungen und verschiedene Cockpitkonzepte.

Schon beim Aufbau rund um das Cockpit zeigen sich die Unterschiede – und wie sehr solche Details das Leben an Bord prägen.

What a weekend to remember! ⛵️

On Saturday, September 12, we celebrated at Yachtspotter an der Förde in Germany — 10 years of Saare Yachts owned by YSE and the handover to Niels Nielsen, marking the beginning of the company’s second generation.

It was a fantastic evening with friends, customers and Saare owners, and we will be sharing more photos and videos from the celebrations soon.

But the weekend didn’t end with the party. On Sunday morning, we went straight back on the water. 🌊

Almost 20 Saare yachts were in Eckernförde harbour, and seven Saare yachts joined together for a morning sail.

Because being a Saare owner is about more than owning a first-class sailing yacht.

It’s about the people around it.
It’s about sharing experiences, exchanging ideas, helping each other — and being part of a real community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this weekend so special. ❤️

Was für ein Wochenende! ⛵️

Am Samstag, den 12. September, wurde bei Yachtspotter an der Förde in Deutschland gleich doppelt gefeiert: 10 Jahre Saare Yachts mit YSE und die Übergabe an Niels Nielsen – und damit der Beginn der zweiten Generation des Unternehmens.

Es wurde ausgelassen gefeiert, gelacht und gemeinsam auf die vergangenen zehn Jahre angestoßen. Weitere Fotos und Videos von der Feier folgen in den nächsten Tagen.

Doch am Sonntagmorgen ging es direkt wieder aufs Wasser. 🌊

Knapp 20 Saare Yachten lagen in Eckernförde im Hafen, und sieben Saare Yachten nutzten den Sonntagmorgen für ein gemeinsames Hinausfahren.

Denn Saare Eigner zu sein bedeutet mehr, als eine erstklassige Segelyacht zu besitzen.

Es bedeutet, Teil einer echten Gemeinschaft zu sein. Erfahrungen auszutauschen, voneinander zu lernen, Ideen zu teilen und gemeinsam Zeit auf und am Wasser zu verbringen.

For us, it’s the moment when the sails are full, the boat is moving effortlessly through the water and there is nothing ahead but the open horizon.

The kind of moment where you stop checking the time, forget about everything on land and simply enjoy being out there.

Maybe happiness is not about going somewhere.

Maybe it’s about how you feel along the way.

Für uns ist es dieser Moment: Die Segel stehen voll im Wind, die Yacht gleitet ruhig durchs Wasser und vor uns liegt nur der weite Horizont.

Ein Moment, in dem die Zeit plötzlich keine Rolle mehr spielt. Keine Termine, kein Alltag – nur Wind, Wasser und das Gefühl, genau am richtigen Ort zu sein.

Vielleicht geht es beim Segeln gar nicht darum, irgendwo anzukommen.

Sondern darum, wie man sich auf dem Weg dorthin fühlt.

What makes a Saare a Saare?

A new interview with our yacht designer Karl-Johan “Kamu” Stråhlmann on No Frills Sailing gives some fascinating insights into the thinking behind our yachts.

One sentence particularly caught our attention:

“Saare is a series boat, but with a strong one-off character with lots of individualizations possible.”

That is exactly what we believe makes Saare special.

We build a range of proven yacht models, but every yacht is individually planned with its owner. Experienced sailors often know exactly what they want – and we work closely with them to turn those ideas into reality.

From interior layouts and wood finishes to storage solutions, Targa arches, doghouses, sprayhoods and many other details, there are numerous ways to make a Saare truly your own.

Performance made easy. ⛵

Today, most Saare Yachts are equipped with a Code Zero.

Of course, a gennaker or even a symmetrical spinnaker remains an option, depending on the owner’s preferences. However, for many sailors, the Code Zero has become the perfect all-round downwind and reaching sail.

Its advantages include:
• Excellent performance in light winds
• Easy furling and unfurling
• Comfortable short-handed sailing
• Fast, safe and simple handling
• Ideal for long-distance cruising
• More sailing time, less engine time

Die meisten Saare Yachten werden heute mit einem Code Zero ausgeliefert.

Natürlich bleiben ein Gennaker oder auch ein Spinnaker weiterhin eine Option. Viele Eigner entscheiden sich jedoch für den Code Zero, da er sich besonders einfach bedienen lässt und gerade beim Segeln zu zweit oder auch allein viele Vorteile bietet.

Smart, watertight storage for real cruising ⛵

On the Saare 38.2 (also available on the 41.2 and 47), we feature a large watertight sail locker / storage compartment.

The 60 x 60 cm hatch provides easy access to a surprisingly spacious area, designed for practical cruising use. Typical storage includes:
• gennaker or sails
• dinghy
• generator
• folding bikes
• additional equipment for long passages

Inside, there is enough space to move around and stow gear efficiently — keeping everything dry, secure and easily accessible at sea.

Thoughtful design for real sailing.

Durchdachter, wasserdichter Stauraum für echtes Fahrtensegeln ⛵

Auf der Saare 38.2 (sowie auch auf der 41.2 und 47) gibt es einen großzügigen wasserdichten Segel- und Stauraum.

Über die 60 x 60 cm große Luke gelangt man in einen überraschend geräumigen Bereich, der speziell für den praktischen Bordalltag und lange Reisen ausgelegt ist. Typische Stauinhalte sind:
• Gennaker oder Segel
• Dinghy
• Generator
• Klappräder
• zusätzliche Ausrüstung für lange Törns

Im Inneren hat man ausreichend Platz, um sich zu bewegen und die Ausrüstung sinnvoll zu verstauen — trocken, sicher und gut erreichbar.

A perfect evening in Norway ⛵☀️

Our customer aboard the Saare 38.2 “Ananda Dve” sent us these wonderful photos from Nusfjord.

As he wrote:

“The new berth is in Nusfjord, the smallest harbour I know. There is only room for two sailing yachts. And the evening sun is fantastic.”

These are exactly the moments many dreams of sailing are made of: beautiful scenery, peaceful anchorages and unforgettable evenings on board.

Ein perfekter Abend in Norwegen ⛵☀️

Unser Kunde mit der Saare 38.2 „Ananda Dve“ hat uns diese wunderschönen Bilder aus Nusfjord geschickt.
