CEEBA, the Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations was established to create one powerful national pan European network to advocate on behalf of Egyptian Businesses for market access to the EU and to promote EU Egyptian Trade and Investment. CEEBA was founded in 2004 by the British-Egyptian, the French, the German-Arab Chamber and the Italian Chamber of Commerce. CEEBA members are

business associations and representatives of the enlarged European Union, the EU28. Being a confederation of chambers CEEBA does not accept direct company membership. Since its inception CEEBA has been a major player in all industrial sectors by organizing specific Conferences, Exhibitions, Symposia, Business Round Table, preparing white papers and organizing door-knock missions. It executes visibility activities and support to EuroMed and ENP processes and supports capacity building of economic operators (EU-Egypt Bilateral Chambers). CEEBA coordinates the activities of the European chambers and business associations in Egypt and acts also on behalf of non-existent bilateral chambers for EU member state. CEEBA is also involved as a contractor in several of EU business support projects. It is the first partner to be solicited to conduct business meetings with EC commissioners, as well as with EU heads of state and cabinet members and the B2B activities for escorting business delegations.

🤖 AI isn't the future of sustainable tourism – it's already here. And SMAC is using it to help small businesses.

A recent study (June 2025) confirmed that Artificial Intelligence and Social Media Branding are already driving eco-tourism in Egypt – helping travelers find green destinations and pushing hotels to be more transparent.

But here's the problem: most small accommodation owners don't have the time, money, or technical knowledge to use AI or understand dozens of complex sustainability standards (some with over 1,100 data points!).

That's unfair. And SMAC is changing that.
The SMAC project is building an AI Recommendation Tool (AIRET) specifically designed for micro and small accommodation businesses. It will:

🟢Automatically suggest the simplest, cheapest green actions a hotel can take today
🟢Guide owners through sustainability step-by-step – no jargon, no overwhelm
🟢Help them showcase their green efforts on social media and booking platforms to attract eco-conscious travelers

Because sustainability shouldn't be a luxury only for big hotels!

With 41% of Egyptian hotels already using clean energy and 30% of diving centers Green Fins certified, the momentum is there. SMAC wants to make sure the remaining thousands of small businesses aren't left behind.

The Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations is seeking qualified experts, trainers, and service providers to support the implementation of the EU-funded HorizonCraft - Sailing towards Mediterranean expertise building

We are looking for professionals and organizations with experience in:
✅ Curriculum and training module development
✅ TVET and youth employability programmes
✅ Entrepreneurship and skills development
✅ Training delivery and facilitation
✅ Mentoring, coaching, and onboarding methodologies
✅ Labour market and SME engagement
✅ EntreComp, DigiComp, and GreenComp frameworks

With a total budget of €1,100,000 (89% co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg NEXT MED programme), our project is building a Euro-Mediterranean internship scheme that connects young job-seekers directly with local MSMEs.

🐝 Opportunity Overview
We are seeking 1–2 experienced trainers to deliver regional, in-person training workshops in Alexandria, Egypt for:
• New beekeepers (16 hours)
• Advanced-level beekeepers (16 hours)

The session brought together distinguished advisors and project stakeholders for a focused and productive exchange, moderated by Dr. Alaa Ezz, Secretary General and featured valued contributions from H.E. Dr. Ghada Shalaby, Mr. Alaa Akel (Jaz Group), and Dr. Amro Kamel.

CEEBA - Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations is seeking an experienced External Technical Expert to support the green transformation of Egypt's Textile, Clothing, Leather and Footwear (TCLF) sector — as part of the EU-funded MEDinChambers Project under the Programme.

📌 What's the role?

You will serve as both a TCLF Green Transition Specialist and the Egyptian Local Pilot Knowledge Hub Manager — a pivotal position bridging technical advisory, stakeholder facilitation, and innovation ecosystem development.

Your work will span:
✅ Facilitating 4-Helix focus groups with Egyptian TCLF stakeholders
✅ Co-designing and managing Egypt's Local Pilot Knowledge Hub
✅ Contributing to the MEDinCHAMBERS Digital Detector (co-design, testing & validation)
✅ Participating in the transnational Living Lab
✅ Producing structured needs assessments and technical reports

🎯 Who are we looking for?

→ 10+ years of experience in the TCLF sector with a focus on green transition & circular economy
→ Proven expertise in multi-stakeholder consultation and focus group facilitation & proven strong network to Egypt' s TCLF ecosystem
→ Knowledge of sustainability regulations (eg ESPR, CSRD, EPR for textiles, EU Textile Strategy)
→ Experience in EU-funded projects (ENI, Horizon, Interreg NEXT MED)
→ Arabic (required) + English (mandatory); French is a strong asset
→ Based in Egypt, with availability to travel within Egypt and abroad

📅 Duration: Up to 18 months
📍 Location: Egypt (Alexandria/Cairo and other eligible governerates of the programme)
