I was consulting for a coaching company.

Most sales incentives actually make your team worse at closing. 🚩

I saw before many times. A manager throws $X at the "first person to 1-call close" and then wonders why their calendar is full of "no-shows" and "refunds" the following week.

1-Call Close" isn't a race. It’s a surgical operation.

When you incentivize speed over discovery, you aren't building a team of closers. You’re building a team of "feature-dumpers" who are more worried about their own pockets than the prospect's problems.
If your rep can’t handle the emotional resilience of a "No," they will try to "incentive-force" a "Yes." And a forced "Yes" is just a "No" with a delayed fuse.

The best closers I know don't care about the immediate $X. They care about the disqualification. They have the guts to tell a prospect "I don't think we’re a fit" within 10 minutes.

That is how you actually win. By the time they ask for the credit card, the "sale" was already over 20 minutes ago.

I'm looking for 2 to 3 Sales people who understands that closing is about leadership, not just a script.
