Sunday a week ago, I experienced the most hollow International Women's Day ever. Seeing the posts, numbers and headlines made me feel helpless and frustrated. For years, I have offered information and resources in the Life at Work // Weeklies to contribute to the change I wish we all will experience and see.

In this week's Life at Work // Weekly #360 I share with you my observations and reflections on International Women's Day.

Curious?

One of the words we currently hear more than usual is 'the edge': being on the edge of chaos, a disaster, a war,
extinction, bankruptcy, the end of the world as we know it,
you name it.
: How would you continue this sentence:
'suddenly we found ourselves on the edge of...'?

It seems as if the edge is part of the doom language,
less the bloom language.

The way we imagine change to be like matters for the actions we choose to move through and beyond it.

That's why this week's Life at Work // Weekly #359 is dedicated to what we imagine when we say 'the edge'.

Last week's Life at Work // Weekly #356 focused on death and life in organizations and natural life cycles at work. There was one particular concept I wanted to include. However, as the previous newsletter was already too long, I decided to save it for this issue.

That's why this week's Life at Work // Weekly #357 is dedicated to the natural seasons of change as seen by the Panarchy.
You might also know it as 'rhythms of life' or 'ecocycle'.

In this Life at Work // Weekly newsletter #355 I continue to share personal reflections sparked by the OD for Life Open Campfire 2026.

In Life at Work // Weekly #353, we focused on hospicing and healing as core response-abilities of OD practitioners and in #354 into the question "scared of wisdom or sacred wisdom?" and the answer is often: both!

In the present edition #355, we dive into the importance of life-aligned flows of resources, like-minded and like-hearted fellows, and the art of harvesting.

People seem to be inventing new words to describe the times we are living in. There was a time when “change” felt about right. Then we spoke of a “crisis.” Soon after, “polycrisis” entered the conversation.

First of all, I would like to apologize for the last newsletter being sent out three times last week. I was aware of the second mailing, but the third was only supposed to go to me. Apparently, the system did not save my changes with regard to the audience, which is how this happened. I am truly...

As a prolific reader, I read over 50 to 60 books a year; my winter books happen to be different from the summer books (with the latter being lighter). I'm writing to you with a huge pile of books in front of me that just arrived.
I'm very much looking forward to diving into them!

Having more time to read is one of the reasons I always dedicate a Life at Work // Weekly to book recommendations related to the HUMAN future of work*ing and collaborating. Many of the books in this #348 issue are from 2024 and 2025, two are even from 2026 - that's how up-to-date and ahead of the curve these recommendations are!

During preparations for a training course, I realized that the SOAR book has been published in an updated edition.
I love this approach (not an analysis!) so much that it's included in these recommendations for the 2nd time.

This time, you will find two German books that have not been translated into English yet. I feel grateful that I can read in several languages, and this year I decided to include these two in my recommendations as well. I trust that our devices, apps and AI will offer simple ways for you to translate them if needed.

These 9 books are my warmest, handpicked recommendations for you.
As a bonus for you, I've added my book, Words Create Worlds, and Life at Work from A to Z too.

Hopefully, you'll find insights, ideas and inspirations in them and then take them forward into inspired action.

So much food for thought and action!
Enjoy!

Today in this Life at Work // Weekly newsletter #347, you will find the Berkana Two Loop model. It’s an approach that originates from complexity theory and living systems, and that describes change in form of two S curves. Chris Corrigan offers an interesting contribution to the two loops.

Over the next three weeks, I'll be sharing a series of newsletters,
each dedicated to co-creating healthier work environments.
We started this journey with the last newsletter #342 by focusing on beliefs and consciousness in the first issue.
Today's issue is dedicated to behaviours and verbal statements.

In the spirit of health and healing, in last two editions of Life at Work Weekly #340 we looked at how we can create healthy work environments and why this matters, and in #341 we focused
on Amy C. Edmondson's Psychological Safety.

I'm currently exploring the factors that contribute to health and healing in the workplace. One framework that has particularly resonated with me is the AQAL map from Ken Wilber's Integral Model, which is composed of four quadrants.

Over the next four weeks, I'll be sharing a series of newsletters, each dedicated to co-creating healthier work environments.
In this first issue, we start this journey by focusing on beliefs and consciousness (the I in the Integral Model you find below) .
