Once upon a time in Africa, there was an engineer who spent some years working in Jinja, the capital of joy in East Africa. Embracing the famous Lake Victoria, Jinja was a city of non-stop adventurous and entertainable life for everyone and above all for kids. Swimming, dancing, singing, rafting, and even bungee jumping were on the go in every corner of Jinja.
Every time our engineer showed up on the beach, he got surrounded by kids greeting him with their funny dances and songs. Their eyes were glowing with fun and joy with an unconditional cheerfulness over the innocent faces. For him, their smiles were the real sunshine spread over the whole place.
He returned from this life changing experience with a belief that “any kid in the world deserves a bigger share of joy”. He decided to spread the joy he felt- all over the world - and he came up with “Jinja: a touch of joy!”. JINJA was the name of this adventurous city, and this is where and how our brand was born.
JINJA has set itself on a mission to bring a joyful world to all the children on the globe by inspiring them to embrace joyful lifestyles and happy thoughts, and further by empowering them to express themselves with great confidence.
