I tried this new recipe today
Peanut Butter Snickers Brownies adapted from "My Baking Addiction":
YIELD: 12 servings
PREP TIME: 15 minutes
COOK TIME: 30 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
3 Tbs raw cocoa
2/3 cup oil
1 1/4 cups sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
12 Fun Size Peanut Butter Snickers
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Mix oil and cocoa well. Whisk in sugar, eggs, vanilla and salt. Gradually add in flour; stir until just combined.
4. Spread 1/2 the batter into prepared pan. Add an even layer of Fun Size Peanut Butter Snickers bars and cover with remaining 1/2 of brownie batter.
5. In a microwave safe bowl, heat peanut for about 10 seconds, just to thin it out a bit. Spoon the peanut butter into a piping bag. Snip off the end and pipe the peanut butter across the top of the brownie batter. Use a knife or wooden skewer to swirl the peanut butter into the brownie batter.
6. Bake for 30-35 minutes; do not over bake.
7. Allow to cool thoroughly, refrigerate, and cut into large squares.
My baking pan was in the dish washer so I just used a loaf pan (works fine, just don't have squares, more like slices.
The brownie batter doesn't taste great but okay, for some reason my snickers bar melted and did not keep its' shape.
I didn't feel like swirling the peanut butter so I just spread it on top (not as pretty but will do)
Conclusion, give it a try-it's easy, simple, and will definitely satisfy your chocolate cravings.
