Sekem is proud to announce the establishment of “Entrepreneurship Center for Social Impact” as a key milestone towards achieving its vision
: the sustainable development of individual consciousness, economic solidarity, social justice, and environmental balance in Egypt and the world. The Entrepreneurship Center for Social Impact, aims to be the engine for creating sustainable startups , that can create growing financial profits and social impact in both local and global markets. The Center will provide tailored, sector-specific support to potential entrepreneurs to shine and receive the needed capabilities to help them compete and grow in today’s world. This support includes capacity building trainings, access to work spaces, access to experts in different technological and business fields, tailored advisory as well as access to industry knowledge and private sector investments. The Center will also leverage SEKEM’s extensive network of professors, experts and industry partners to raise the capacities of potential entrepreneurs and to facilitate their access to markets. The Entrepreneurship Center for Social Impact’s Objectives:
• To become the driver and creator of disruptive start-ups and growing companies based on high level of innovation and can add both developmental impact and financial growth,
• To leverage the resources of the private sector as it becomes the client, the supplier and the financier of the start-ups and growing companies,
• To design and implement entrepreneurship support programs that are sector specific, thus that can provide deep, focused and efficient support services that can eventually lead to the development of entire value chains.
