قديماً، كانت عملية صناعة الأحذية تتم يدويا بالكامل باستخدام الجلود الطبيعيه بحيث كان يضع الاسكافي خبرته و حبه و صبره و روحه في الحذاء.ولكن و مع الاسف أصبحت صناعة الأحذية حاليا تفتقر الي الحرفيه و استخدام الايدي بسبب كميات الإنتاج الكبيرة من الأحذية الصناعيه الجاهزه، والتي تفتقر الي جودة الصناعة التقليدية وقد لا تهتم بالتفاصيل أو الحرفي
