Next May we will celebrate another milestone in Thaat's nine years journey. An achievement to say the least, that took place in an iconic location with incredible women and amazing partners.

Bagaweet, an eighteen months of colors, patterns, culture, a tribute to raw beauty and the transformative impact of design.

Eighteen months later we have a film(to be screened soon), a book in the making and a vibrant lifestyle label that fuses traditional artisanal techniques with contemporary cuts that are inspired from the past.

Bagaweet also tells a compelling visual story of he Red Sea translated through a quintessentially- Thaat- lens.

Shibori tie and dye is one of the techniques we teach at . We have utilised it in .egypt first collection. Thefeatured cotton pouches and shawls are dyed and stitched at Bagaweets production center in ElQuseir.

We are very happy to be taking part at our partner's showcase in . MADE51, is a global collaborative initiative by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency and strategic private sector partners, that supports social enterprises working with refugees to sell their products on a global scale.

This is our week's highlight being a social enterprise that trained and worked with over 3400 disadvantaged girls and women, 10% of are female refugees from 4 countries.
Our current direct beneficiaries are 60 women specialising in highend textile craft and heritage-based fashion.

دورة تدريبية على أساسيات غرز التطريز بالخيط وتركيب الألوان والغرز سويا في تصميم موحد.

سيقوم من خلالها المتدربون بالتعرف على الأدوات والخامات المناسبة للتطريز بالخيط والطرق المختلفة لنقل التصميم كما سيتم تنفيذ قطعة عمل لتطبيق ما تم تعلمه. سيتاح للمتدربين اختيار موتيفات متنوعة وخلق تصميم جديد يطبق على شال صغير (ايشارب).

عدد المحاضرات: 6 مدة المحاضرة 3 ساعات مرتين في الأسبوع
