SAQR unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is a graduation project done by Aerospace department students at Cairo university, Faculty of Engineering. The project won in “shaغal” competition hosted by “Nahdet El Mahrousa Institution”, ranked among the top 10 projects, and got rewarded of 25,000 EGP. The team was honored by former higher education minister and AUC consultant in Egypt Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, and former scientific research minister Dr. George Estino. SAQR UAV is a fully autonomous (automatic T/O, Landing and navigation) and fully composite (carbon fiber and fiber glass) unmanned aerial vehicle. In addition to the autonomus system a Live streaming FPV camera system is used to empower the UAV multifunctionality. The project aims to Design, Manufacture and remotly Control an aerial unmanned vehicle to replace the pilot exsistance in the air into a ground station to decrease the possibilty of losing human factor during aerial missions, This's the core of the problem. As for branched problems, SAQR unmanned aerial vehicle will play a vital role specifically in missions that piloted vehicles can't do such as:-
1. Firefighting and Wildlife Monitoring
2. Border Patrol and Reconnaissance
3. Cartography and Mapping
5. Survey Operations
6. Search and Rescue
7. Atmospheric and Oceanographic Research
8. Telecommunications
9. Mineral Exploration
10. Imaging Spectrometry

There are three important precious wasted resources that our product will save.
1- Human factor: that our vehicle are remotely controlled through a ground station and in case of accidents no pilots will die!.
2- Time: our UAV is ready to T/O and go for a mission immediately with no airports needed but only a smooth land ahead or pilot preflight preparations, So it's more efficient in rescue missions when time is a matter of life or death.
3- Money: our vehicle doesn't need pilots training hence saving millions of bucks. Also piloted aircrafts are always heaviear hence more fuel consumption. But in UAVs, it's more lighter and hence less fuel is used beside that it can carries more payload instead of pilots, their safety and instruments payload. About SAQR UAV Team:
The team consists of six members (Hisham Zakaria [Team Leader], Abdou Khalaf, Alaa Mohammed, Ahmed Abdel Latif, Mohamed Salah & Marwa Hamed) and is supervised by Dr. Mohammed Tawfik. The team is devided into 3 main subteams: [Aerodynamics & Design/Manufacturing], [Stability & Control], and [Performance & Electronics].
