IMPORTANT UPDATE RE EXCHANGE PROCESS FOR TIE

Today we attended Alicante for the first time to obtain the new TIE for some clients and have an important update.

For those clients exchanging their residencies for the TIE, you are required to make 2 visits: the first is to present your request of exchange and documents and for them to take your fingerprint; the second is 3-4 weeks later to attend a separate office to hand in your residency and collect the new card.

This is due to the fact that the cards are produced in Madrid and then sent down to the relevant office for collection.

They have told us that there is no need to take a translator for the second visit as you will just need to provide the paper that they give you on the first visit and hand in your original residency document and be given the TIE. So all those clients confident of attending the second visit without any assistance should do so as this should mean paying a reduced fee with most offices carrying out the service.

IMPORTANT UPDATE RE RESIDENCY FOR BRITISH CITIZENS

The government has now published the official measures for the treatment of British citizens applying for residency in Spain.

There are three scenarios covered in the official boletin that was published on Saturday: 1) Those persons who already have residency status; 2) Those applying for the first time before the 31st Dec 2020; 3) Those that will apply from the 1st of January 2021.

Currently, there is no firm information for those persons that come under scenario number 3, as the UK government and the EU appear to still have to iron out those agreements, but for scenarios 1 & 2 we now know the following:

Scenario 1: You already have residency status - You are not legally required to do anything. Your green certificate (whether A4 or credit-card size) is valid and will continue to be after the 31/12/20. However, if you wish, you can exchange your green certificate/card to an ID card. In order to do this, you will need to make an appointment online and then attend the applicable office to present the following documents:
- Passport
- Residency certificate
- Padron issued within last 3 months
- Passport photo (specific size and requirements now required)
- Application form
- Payment form to pay official fee "tasa"
You will then receive your ID card.
The official fee from the spanish authorities is 12€, which has to be paid at the bank beforehand, as before.
Your card will have a validity dependent upon the following:
a) you have had residency for more than 5 years - your card will be issued with a validity of 10 years
b) you have had residency for less than 5 years - your card will be issued for 5 years. When ready to renew, you will then receive a new card for 10 years.

Scenario 2: You wish to obtain residency prior to the 31st Dec 2020. The requirements have NOT changed. You are still required to provide proof of income and healthcare, as before, but you will now either have to attend the foreign office in Alicante on two occasions; once to present your documents, and secondly to obtain your card, OR, you can obtain the services of a professional registered with the College of Administrative Gestores or College of Social Graduates, and they can present your documentation telematically for you, which means you will then only need to go personally to Alicante once your documentation has been approved. This will be the case for any client who comes to UNICA.

🇪🇸La Comunidad Valenciana pasa en su totalidad
a la Fase 2.

Estas son las nuevas medidas que necesitas saber (entrada en vigor lunes 1 de junio):

- Desplazamientos: La movilidad sólo está permitida dentro de la provincia.
- Paseos y deporte: Se puede realizar con un máximo de 15 personas en cualquier momento del día excepto en las franjas reservadas para los mayores de 70 y personas vulnerables: de 10:00 a 12:00 y de 19:00 a 20:00 horas.
- Reuniones: Se permiten reuniones de amigos y familiares de hasta 15 personas, (quedan excluidos los grupos vulnerables). Se deben mantener las medidas de higiene y una distancia de seguridad de 2 metros.
- Restauración: Además de las terrazas ( 50 % de la capacidad), ahora se podrá ocupar el interior del establecimiento, pero con un aforo máximo del 40 % de la capacidad. Siempre en mesa, servicio de barra está prohibido.
- Comercios: Ahora puede abrir cualquier comercio independientemente de su tamaño, al 40 % de su aforo.Se mantendrán los horarios para mayores.
- Centros comerciales: Se abren los grandes centros comerciales pero con un aforo máximo del
40 %. Se prohíbe la permanencia en zonas comunes o áreas recreativas.
- Mercadillos: Al aire libre y con 1/3 de los puestos.
- Lugares de culto: El aforo máximo aumenta a un 50 %.
- Bodas: Aforo máximo del 50 %, máximo 100 personas al aire libre y 50 en interior.
- Velatorios: Máximo 25 personas al aire libre y 15 en espacios cerrados.
- Polideportivos: Se abren las instalaciones deportivas y las piscinas, ambas a un 30 % del aforo y con cita previa.
- Piscinas y playas: Las piscinas podrán abrir pero al 30 % del aforo. Playas con limitación de aforo.
- Academias y Autoescuelas: Apertura de centros educativos y de formación extra-escolar.
- Congresos, reuniones de negocio y conferencias: Se pueden celebrar congresos, reuniones de negocio y conferencias con un máximo de 50 personas.
- Conciertos: Al aire libre, sentado, con distancia, y aforo de 1/3 con un máximo de 400 personas.
- Cines, teatros y auditorios: Butaca previamente asignada y con 1/3 del aforo. Máximo 50 personas. Al aire libre, 400.
- Residencias de ancianos: Con cita previa y de forma individual, con equipo de protección. Sólo en aquellas residencias que no tengan ningún caso confirmado de Covid-19.

- Funeral: Maximum 25 people outdoors and 15 indoors.
- Sports centers: Sports facilities and swimming pools are opened, both at 30% of capacity and by appointment.
- Pools and beaches: Pools may open but at 30% of capacity. Beaches with limited capacity.
- Academies and Driving Schools: Opening of educational and extracurricular training centers.
- Congresses, business meetings and conferences: Congresses, business meetings and conferences can be held with a maximum of 50 people.
- Concerts: Outdoors, seated, with distance, and capacity of 1/3 with a maximum of 400 people.
- Cinemas, theaters and auditoriums: seat previously assigned and with a capacity of 1/3. Maximum 50 people. Outdoors 400.
- Nursing homes: By appointment and individually, with protective equipment. Only in those residences that don't have any confirmed case of Covid-19.

- Bruiloften: maximale capaciteit van 50%, maximaal 100 personen buiten en 50 binnen.
- Begrafenis: maximaal 25 personen buiten en 15 binnen.
- Sportscholen en sportcentra: Sportfaciliteiten en zwembaden worden geopend, op 30% van de capaciteit en op afspraak.
- Zwembaden en stranden: Zwembaden kunnen opengaan, maar met 30% van de capaciteit. Stranden met beperkte capaciteit.
- Academies en autorijscholen: opening van educatieve en opleidingscentra.
- Congressen, zakelijke bijeenkomsten en conferenties: Congressen, zakelijke bijeenkomsten en conferenties kunnen worden gehouden met maximaal 50 personen.
- Concerten: In de open lucht, zittend, met afstand en capaciteit van 1/3 met een maximum van 400 personen.
- Bioscopen, theaters en auditoria: op toegewezen zitplaats met een capaciteit van 1/3. Maximaal 50 personen. Buiten 400.
- Verzorgingshuizen: Op afspraak en individueel, met beschermingsmiddelen. Alleen daar waar geen geval van Covid-19 is bevestigd.

- Einkaufszentren: Einkaufszentren werden bis einer maximalen Kapazität von 40% eröffnet. Aufenthalt in gemeinschaftliche Räumen sind nicht gestattet.
- Märkte: Im Freien und mit 1/3 der Ständen.
- Religiöse Versammlungen: Die maximale Kapazität wird auf 50% erhöht.
- Hochzeiten: maximale Kapazität von 50%, maximal 100 Personen draußen und 50 Personen drinnen.
- Begräbnis: maximal 25 Personen draußen und 15 drinnen.
- Turnhallen und Sportzentren: Sportanlagen und Schwimmbäder werden zu 30% der Kapazität und nach Vereinbarung geöffnet.
- Schwimmbäder und Strände: Schwimmbäder können geöffnet werden, jedoch mit einer Kapazität von 30%. Strände mit begrenzter Kapazität.
- Akademien und Fahrschulen: Eröffnung von Bildungs- und Ausbildungszentren.
- Kongresse, Geschäftstreffen und Konferenzen: Kongresse, Geschäftstreffen und Konferenzen können bis zu 50 Personen organisiert werden.
- Konzerte: Im Freien, sitzend, mit einer Entfernung und Kapazität von 1/3 mit maximal 400 Personen.
- Kinos, Theater und Auditorien: auf zugewiesenen Sitzplätzen mit einer Kapazität von 1/3. Bis zu 50 Personen. Außerhalb 400.
- Pflegeheime: Nach Vereinbarung und individuell mit Schutzausrüstung. Nur wenn kein Fall von Covid 19 bestätigt wurde.

- Mariages: capacité maximale de 50%, maximum 100 personnes à l'extérieur et 50 personnes à l'intérieur.
- Funérailles: maximum 25 personnes à l'extérieur et 15 à l'intérieur.
- Centres sportifs: Les installations sportives et les piscines sont ouvertes à 30% de la capacité et sur rendez-vous.
- Piscines et plages: Les piscines peuvent être ouvertes, mais avec une capacité de 30%. Plages de capacité limitée.
- Académies et auto-écoles: ouverture de centres d'éducation et de formation.
- Congrès, réunions d'affaires et conférences: Des congrès, réunions d'affaires et conférences peuvent être organisés jusqu'à 50 personnes.
- Concerts: en plein air, assis, avec une distance et une capacité de 1/3 avec un maximum de 400 personnes.
- Cinémas, théâtres et auditoriums: sur des sièges attribués d'une capacité de 1/3. Jusqu'à 50 personnes. En dehors de 400.
- Maison de repos et de soins: sur rendez-vous et individuellement avec équipement de protection. Seulement si aucun cas n'a été confirmé par Covid-19

To all our lovely clients!

I hope you are all keeping well and safe.

I've created this page just to keep you informed of our office opening hours and procedures whilst the State of Alarm is still in place.

Myself and staff have been working from home since the start of this surreal journey that we are all on, but as of Monday 11th May, we will be re-opening from Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm.

This is primarily with the Annual Tax Returns in mind, so that those persons that cannot email us their tax information, can bring it to us personally.

As the State of Alarm will still be in place, we have prepared a workstation at the entrance to the office for you to hand us your tax documents. There will be a table outside with disinfectant gel for you to use on your hands before entering and we have clearly marked lines on the floor so that suitable distances between clients can be maintained. For the service of receiving your tax documents, no appointment is necessary.

Should you have any other urgent business to discuss, it is obligatory that you make an appointment as we can only attend to one client at a time in our office. You can email us or call during opening hours to make an appointment, or send a private message via Messenger. Please bear in mind that it is obligatory for you to wear a mask and to disinfect your hands before entering the office.
