Over Labor Day weekend, Cincinnati celebrated its 50th annual Riverfest with a historic multi-launch sky extravaganza, including a gorgeous drone show preceding the fireworks.

Congratulations to Rozzi Fireworks and WEBN on 50 spectacular displays since 1977. This year’s display was the largest in the event’s history, and Riverfest remains one of the largest fireworks shows in America.

We're big on making a drone show pilot's job easier. This is why we've built in autonomous guardrails for any situation.

An emergency return-to-home is never a reactive scramble for the Verge Aero system — it's part of our foundational pre-validated, collision-free trajectory system.

✅ If any drone encounters an issue it cannot resolve during flight, the system will automatically trigger and handle a controlled landing.
✅ If the pilot deems it necessary to bring the entire fleet back mid-flight, a manual RTH command simply triggers the already twice-deconflicted landing sequence that was baked into the show file for an easy and worry-free early return.

Drones, fireworks, and one unforgettable convention.

For the 4th year running, the drone show network lit up the sky alongside the pyrotechnics community at PGI 2026.

We're honored with every chance we get to integrate the two mediums, creating something more spectacular than either could achieve on their own.

Thank you to the partners and collaborators involved in the 2026 PGI drone-and-firework displays:
🛸 BrightWave FX
🛸 Chicago Drone Light Shows
🛸 Fantasy Drone Shows
🛸 FlyLight Drone Shows
🛸 Fireworks by Grucci
🛸 Northern Lights Drone Shows
🛸 Sky Harmony Drone Shows
🛸 Vector Aerial Systems
🛸 Vegas Drones
🛸 Adhoc Creative House
🎆 Precision Fireworks
🎆 Spirit of '76 Fireworks, Astro Magic FX

And thank you to the Pyrotechnics Guild International (PGI) for another fantastic opportunity to collaborate with the pyro community.

We cannot wait to return to the PGI convention in 2027!

As our CTO says, "We aren't cutting corners." Safety has always been at the core of the Verge Aero drone show platform.

During any show, if a drone identifies an issue mid-flight and cannot maintain its intended position, it is designed to auto-land in a controlled manner well within the safety zone.

This is our safety technology at work:
✅ Navigation redundancy, with MULTIPLE sensors and estimators aboard the drones, to protect against inaccuracy.
✅ Triple, independent geofence systems with predictive technology to protect against fly-aways.

These are features that make our top-to-bottom tech stack a leader in the drone show industry.

Visit verge.aero/safety to learn more.

This is where innovation happens. Beginning next week, the drone show network will return to PGI for the 2026 convention in Kaukauna.
