EXTRAORDINARY REGULARISATION OF IMMIGRANTS IN SPAIN ✨
The Spanish Government has initiated the processing of an extraordinary regularisation that could benefit around 500,000 people currently living in an irregular situation.
⚠️ Important:
This process is NOT automatic, and we are still awaiting the final publication of the Royal Decree in the Official State Gazette (BOE). However, the main baseline criteria have already been confirmed.
📌 Main requirements known so far:
✔ Having been in Spain before 31 December 2025
✔ Proof of at least 5 months of continuous stay in Spain
✔ No criminal record and not posing a risk to public order
📂 How can residence be proven?
Registration on the census (padrón), rental contracts, medical reports, official appointments, money transfer receipts, social services documents, or any valid public or private document.
👉 The more evidence you can provide, the better.
✅ Advantages of this regularisation:
✔ Initial 1-year residence permit
✔ Work authorisation from day one, in any sector and anywhere in Spain
✔ Regularises existing employment situations
✔ Maximum processing time: 3 months
✔ Once the application is admitted for processing (max. 15 days), you may start working
✔ Applies regardless of nationality
✔ Possibility of simultaneous regularisation of minor children, with a 5-year permit
⏳ Expected application period:
From April 2026 until 30 June 2026, once the Royal Decree is definitively approved.
