Harvest 2026 has officially begun! 🍇

The first grapes have arrived at the winery, and we’re starting this year’s harvest with Garnacha Blanca – destined for our sparkling wine Ida & Peter.

There is always something special about the first grapes of a new vintage. Months of work in the vineyard now move into the winery, and a new chapter begins.

And this is just the start. Harvest 2026 is on!

Harvest is about to begin! 🍇

A little earlier than expected, but that’s the beauty of winemaking – nature sets the schedule.
Time to cut the holiday short, head back to the winery and get everything ready for the first grapes of the 2026 harvest.
It’s always one of the most exciting moments of the year. A new vintage is about to begin, and we can’t wait to see what it will bring.

Sometimes you can still smile, even after nature has tested you. 🌿😄

Just over a week ago, our vineyards were hit by a severe hailstorm. Thanks to the quick response from Team Bell Cros, we managed to limit the damage, and it now looks like we have “only” lost around 10% of this year’s harvest.

It could have been much worse. The grapes that were damaged have dried out naturally instead of rotting and affecting the healthy bunches around them.

Moments like these remind us that there is always something to be grateful for. We’re relieved, thankful, and looking forward to the harvest ahead. 🍇

We’re taking a summer break – but the grapes keep working. 🍇☀️

After an amazing first half of the year filled with wonderful visitors, shared moments and countless glasses of wine, it’s time for a short summer break.

From 27 July to 18 August, Bell Cros will be closed while we recharge our batteries. Meanwhile, our vineyards continue their quiet work under the Mediterranean sun, preparing for the upcoming harvest.

Thank you to everyone who has visited us this season. We wish you a beautiful summer filled with sunshine, good company and memorable moments.

We look forward to welcoming you back after the holidays.

Sometimes, something joyful can turn into something heartbreaking in an instant.

Yesterday evening, I was editing a video about how beautifully the grapes were developing in the vineyard. Shortly afterwards, the sky opened and a powerful hailstorm swept across our vineyards.

The hail damaged many of the grapes and tore the leaves on the vines. Thanks to our fantastic Team Bell Cros, an action plan was put in place immediately. Early this morning, three tractors were already working simultaneously in the vineyard, treating the vines with copper sulphate to protect them from further damage.

Now comes an anxious wait. In about a week, we will be able to make a more accurate assessment of the extent of the damage.

Winegrowing is about patience, hard work and respect for the power of nature. We are now doing everything we can to help the vineyard recover. 🙏🤞

In the heart of Falset, Hotel Lotus Priorat has been serving Bell Cros wines for many years.
We asked Bea from Lotus why guests enjoy our rosé L’Amic so much:

Sometimes the most memorable wine experiences are also the simplest. Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming a family from Belgium for a private wine tasting beneath our old fig tree. A few days later, Ruth left us this wonderful review:
“High praise for this personal and original wine tasting right in the vineyard! It was just the family (my daughters and their partners) and Gemma, our expert wine host, who explained everything about the winery’s history and the wines we were tasting in a very engaging way! But the most special part was definitely doing it under a fig tree, surrounded by vineyards. Truly spectacular!”
