La vendimia vuelve a dibujar el paisaje de Marqués de Murrieta.

Con el comienzo de una nueva cosecha, presentamos una nueva obra de Murrieta Art, esta vez bajo la mirada de Matilda Peterson.

Entre viñedos, vendimiadores y el perfil de nuestra bodega, la ilustradora captura uno de los momentos más especiales del año, esos días en los que el viñedo concentra toda la atención y comienza a escribirse la historia de una nueva añada.

Con un trazo espontáneo y delicado, Matilda interpreta la vendimia como un paisaje vivo, hecho de naturaleza, personas y tradición.

Una escena que celebra el origen de nuestros vinos y el trabajo que, cosecha tras cosecha, da continuidad a nuestro legado.

With the start of a new harvest, we present a new work from Murrieta Art, this time through the eyes of Matilda Peterson.

Amid vineyards, grape pickers, and the silhouette of our winery, the illustrator captures one of the most special moments of the year—those days when the vineyard takes center stage and the story of a new vintage begins to unfold.

With a spontaneous and delicate touch, Matilda interprets the harvest as a living landscape, made up of nature, people, and tradition.

A scene that celebrates the origin of our wines and the work that, harvest after harvest, carries on our legacy.

En el botellero histórico, el tiempo permanece intacto.

Cada botella guarda una añada, una memoria y una forma de entender el vino desde la paciencia. Entre corchos, vidrio y silencio, la historia de Marqués de Murrieta descansa y evoluciona, recordándonos que la excelencia no pertenece solo al presente, sino también a todo lo que hemos sabido preservar.

Un espacio donde cada añada sigue hablando del origen, del tiempo y de la vocación de permanencia.

Incorporar colmenas a Finca Ygay significaba también asumir la responsabilidad de protegerlas. Observar el entorno, identificar cada amenaza y actuar con respeto, buscando siempre preservar el equilibrio natural.

Aves, hormigas, ácaros y especies invasoras nos enseñaron que cuidar una colonia exige atención constante, capacidad de adaptación y, sobre todo, aprendizaje.

Después de tantos cuidados, se acercaba uno de los momentos más esperados.

Bringing beehives to Finca Ygay also meant taking on the responsibility of protecting them. Observing the environment, identifying each threat, and acting with respect—always seeking to preserve the natural balance.

Birds, ants, mites, and invasive species taught us that caring for a colony requires constant attention, the ability to adapt, and, above all, learning.

After all that care, one of the most eagerly awaited moments was approaching.

Dentro de una colmena, nada sucede por casualidad. Cada abeja desempeña una función esencial y cada decisión responde a una misma necesidad: proteger la continuidad de la colonia.

Una organización extraordinaria en la que cooperación, precisión y equilibrio convierten a miles de individuos en un único organismo.

Comprenderlas fue el primer paso. El siguiente sería aprender a cuidarlas.

Inside a beehive, nothing happens by chance. Each bee plays an essential role, and every decision serves the same purpose: to ensure the colony’s survival.

It is an extraordinary organization in which cooperation, precision, and balance transform thousands of individuals into a single organism.

Understanding them was the first step. The next step would be to learn how to care for them.

En la penumbra de la bodega, la madera guarda el pulso del tiempo.

Cada barrica acompaña al vino con calma, afinando su carácter y dejando que la finca se exprese con profundidad, equilibrio y elegancia. Un proceso silencioso, paciente y esencial, donde cada añada encuentra poco a poco su verdadera voz.

En Marqués de Murrieta, el tiempo no solo transforma el vino. Lo eleva.

In the dim light of the cellar, the wood holds the pulse of time.

Each barrel gently accompanies the wine, refining its character and allowing the vineyard to express itself with depth, balance, and elegance. It is a silent, patient, and essential process, in which each vintage gradually finds its true voice.

At Marqués de Murrieta, time does not merely transform the wine. It elevates it.

Después de aprender, estudiar y preparar cada detalle, llegó el momento de ir a buscarlas.

La recogida se hizo de noche, cuando todas las abejas están dentro de la colmena y el traslado puede realizarse con mayor seguridad y tranquilidad.

Regresamos a Finca Ygay con tres colmenas y decenas de miles de abejas. Al verlas de cerca, entendimos la verdadera dimensión del proyecto y la responsabilidad que supone cuidar algo tan vivo, delicado y perfectamente organizado.

Aquella noche, lo que hasta entonces había sido una idea comenzó a hacerse realidad.

Y una vez aquí, empezó una de las partes más sorprendentes de todo el proceso.

After learning, studying, and preparing every detail, the time came to go get them.

The collection took place at night, when all the bees are inside the hive and the transfer can be carried out more safely and calmly.

We returned to Finca Ygay with three hives and tens of thousands of bees. Seeing them up close, we understood the true scope of the project and the responsibility that comes with caring for something so alive, delicate, and perfectly organized.

That night, what had until then been just an idea began to become a reality.

And once they were here, one of the most surprising parts of the entire process began.

En los depósitos de hormigón, el vino encuentra calma, precisión y profundidad.

En la finca, la belleza también florece junto a la vid.

Cada flor forma parte de un paisaje vivo, donde la naturaleza acompaña el ritmo del viñedo y recuerda la importancia de preservar su equilibrio. Entre luz, tierra y biodiversidad, el entorno se expresa con una delicadeza que inspira y protege.

Porque cuidar la finca es atender también a aquello que crece en silencio, a esos pequeños gestos de vida que enriquecen el paisaje y contribuyen al origen de nuestros vinos.

On the estate, beauty also flourishes alongside the vines.

Each flower is part of a living landscape, where nature moves in harmony with the rhythm of the vineyard and reminds us of the importance of preserving its balance. Amid light, earth, and biodiversity, the environment reveals itself with a delicacy that inspires and protects.

Antes de que las abejas llegaran a nuestra Finca Ygay, tuvimos que aprender a recibirlas.

Estudiamos cómo vive una abeja, cómo funciona una colmena y qué necesitábamos para que el proyecto estuviera bien planteado desde el inicio.

Analizamos qué especie era la más adecuada y preparamos cada detalle: el tipo de colmena, la cera, el mantenimiento y el entorno que las rodearía.

Porque empezar desde cero no significa improvisar. Significa observar, aprender y tomar cada decisión con criterio, respeto y atención al detalle.

Y después de toda esa preparación, llegó el momento de ir a por ellas.

Before the bees arrived at our Finca Ygay, we had to learn how to welcome them.

We studied how bees live, how a hive works, and what we needed to ensure the project was well-planned from the start.

We analyzed which species was best suited and prepared every detail: the type of hive, the wax, the maintenance, and the environment that would surround them.

Because starting from scratch doesn’t mean improvising. It means observing, learning, and making every decision with discernment, respect, and attention to detail.

And after all that preparation, the time came to go get them.
