BREXIT

"CHANGE YOUR BRITISH DRIVING LICENSE FOR A SPANISH ONE"

If you live in Spain and have been here for more than 6 months, you have the obligation to exchange your British driving license for a Spanish one. If this is the case, it is recommended that you do so before December 31, 2020, or at least submit the application before that date, as otherwise you could face fines and also additional requirements if done from next year when Brexit starts. . and the license will no longer be considered from an EU member.

BREXIT

"RESIDENCE RETIREMENT AGREEMENT"

On January 31, 2020, the United Kingdom ceased to belong to the European Union. The Withdrawal Agreement entered into force on February 1, 2020, which regulates a transition period until December 31, 2020.
British citizens residing in Spain before December 31, 2020 will have the same rights of residence, freedom of movement and Social Security established in the Withdrawal Agreement, despite the fact that the United Kingdom will not be part of the EU, provided that request a new document called "Residence Withdrawal Agreement" (Document of Residence Withdrawal Agreement)
As of July 6, 2020, British citizens residing in Spain have the right to receive said Withdrawal Agreement document that will allow them to continue enjoying the same residence and work rights as EU members in the same way as they did before to Brexit.
