ITS’S GOING TO HAPPEN TO EVERY FEMALE AT SOME STAGE

We need to empower women and enable health care professionals to help them.

It’s WORLD MENOPAUSE DAY! It will effect half the population but in reality it affects everyone because it affects every single relationship.

Menopause doesn’t just start when you’re older it starts often when women are young. Lots of things can affect when and how women react to it. 👇🏼

Brain fog
Lack of S*x drive
Night sweats
Lethargy
Rage
Menstrual cycles
Battles with emotions
Body changes
Mobility issues
Skin problems

⬆️ Are the obvious ones but there are a plethora of other things that will and can affect a woman.

Those common symptoms sound basic but they are all consuming and can destroy lives.

Many women suffer with depression and even have suicidal thoughts.

Working, parenting and relationships become increasingly difficult …

Many relationships break down.

A lot of doctors don’t recognise the symptoms or have the skills or knowledge to help and support , menopause can be lost in a number of other conditions as the symptoms are so vast and many.

If you’re wondering if you are experiencing menopause or even peri menopausal symptoms then talk to someone, don’t suffer in silence! If you feel your friend, partner or sister is suffering talk to them!

Too many people are unaware of the severity of the symptoms, I feel it should be taught at school in the same way that puberty is. People don’t know how to cope or deal with it! It comes a huge shock and is very debilitating!

Some women can get treatment and may choose HRT, but there are many natural therapies, or even other medications… there is no right or wrong but there is some help out there for everyone in some way.

Menopause can start at any age - it’s not something that affects just older women. So don’t ignore your symptoms and keep pushing for advice and like with all things do your own research to find the right options for you!!

WHAT A YEAR 🤩

One year ago today we made the biggest move of our lives and moved from Scotland to Spain.

It has been an absolute roller coaster of a journey with major highs and crashing lows but we are still here and absolutely loving life 😍

We left behind family and friends who we miss everyday, it wasn’t the easiest decision to make but we knew we had to do it to live our best lives.

We have met some amazing people in the last year and some will be life long friends 🥰

If anyone reading this has been thinking of moving abroad or taking a leap into something new, just do it!! Plan it out and make the move as if it doesn’t work out then you can always go back.
