How can you speak about innovation without speaking about innovation?
Last week, in Basel, Switzerland, we tried to do that.
Hosted at the Medical Image Analysis Center (MIAC AG), "The Innovation Trio" was an invitation to explore how we can foster creative environments that go beyond disciplines.
Art, science, and entrepreneurship strive for originality, often for exploring unexplored territories. So instead of talking about innovation, we spoke of exploration in art and science, collaborations in art and technology, experimentation, a human-center approach - and how art can contribute to achieving this goal.
The engle the artists Dr. Miri Segal and Nir Harel brought with their work in AI was exciting. Dr. Jens Wuerfel's openness to building new collaborations with artists was essential here.
The MIAC wider team's engagement and support were so influential! and the backing of Ariel Rosenstein and the Israel in Switzerland embassy on such short notice was needed.
Special Thanks to Marika Grunze who worked endlessly to make it a successful event and orchestrated all the parties involved.
"The difference between science and the arts is not that they are different sides of the same coin even, or even different parts of the same continuum, but rather, they are manifestations of the same thing. The arts and sciences are avatars of human creativity." Mae Jemison
