We are proud to announce that has been recognised as Best Nation & City Branding Specialists 2026 at the UK Enterprise Awards by SME News.

This recognition reinforces our position as an international consultancy specialising exclusively in , , and Public Diplomacy.

At brandlond®, we believe that successful places are not built through communication alone. They are built by aligning identity, strategy, governance, culture, investment, talent and reputation into a shared long-term vision.

We work with governments, cities, regions and institutions to develop place strategies that strengthen competitiveness, attract investment, engage communities and enhance international positioning.

Nation Branding is entering a new era. Beyond promotion and visibility, it has become a strategic discipline connected to economic development, public policy and the long-term value of places.

Being recognised in the United Kingdom for our expertise in this field is particularly meaningful. “Spain's future competitiveness will not be determined solely by what we produce, but increasingly by how we are perceived, trusted and remembered.”

The 139th Annual General Meeting of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom was far more than an institutional gathering of business leaders.

It was a reflection of a structural shift that defines the work we do at : competitiveness is no longer only economic; it is reputational.

Our work is not about communication. It is about meaning-making.
At its core, our role is to strengthen the visibility, coherence and strategic relevance of within one of the world’s most demanding and influential markets.

The is not simply a commercial partner. It is a global platform where reputation is tested daily through investment decisions, talent attraction, cultural relevance and innovation leadership.
In that context, every Spanish company succeeding in the UK is not only growing its business; it is actively contributing to the construction of Spain’s international narrative.

This is why we have always maintained that is not a communications discipline. It is an economic infrastructure.
It is the alignment of institutions, companies, entrepreneurs and cultural actors around a shared strategic identity, and a clear understanding of how value is perceived externally.

During this year’s AGM, alongside nearly 200 business and institutional leaders, we reflected on the strength and evolution of the UK–Spain relationship.
The conversations reinforced a belief that has become central to our work:
Strong economies are built upon strong brands. Spain’s competitiveness will not be defined only by productivity or output, but increasingly by its ability to generate trust, clarity and long-term relevance in global markets.

The evening concluded with a reception and dinner at Plaisterers' Hall, offering the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue with fellow board members, business leaders and distinguished professionals across our bilateral ecosystem.

Our deepest thanks to the entire Spanish Chamber team for their kind invitation, impeccable organisation and continued commitment to strengthening the relationship between Spain and the United Kingdom.

Through our work with the Chamber, we remain committed to helping organisations, institutions and territories build meaningful, differentiated and enduring identities that perform not only in markets, but in perception.

Because the strongest bridges between nations are not built through commerce alone.
They are built through shared purpose, mutual trust and a compelling narrative of the future.

Interpreting urban behaviour to unlock greater value.

A few days ago, we had the privilege of leading a in for the fifteen Catalan clusters visiting the city, as part of ACCIÓ’s XII Strategic Cluster Week.

Together, we explored the districts of Knightsbridge, Chelsea and Battersea; three neighbourhoods that express distinct layers of contemporary retail culture, urban behaviour and evolving consumer expectations.

This was not a conventional visit. It was a curated, hybrid and transversal reading of the city, engaging leaders from diverse sectors through a shared lens: how brands behave, evolve, and construct meaning within specific cultural and urban systems.

At , we design Retail Tour Experiences as strategic instruments of interpretation. Our approach goes beyond observation. We focus on decoding behavioural patterns, cultural codes and emerging consumer dynamics that define how brands compete across global markets.

What we consistently observe is that the most relevant organisations, cities and institutions are not those that simply follow trends, but those capable of reading context with clarity and transforming it into strategic direction.

In this sense, our work sits at the intersection of branding, cultural analysis and retail intelligence; helping companies, cities and national clusters rethink how they are perceived, and how they can strengthen their global relevance.

Because today, competitiveness is not only about what you offer.
It is about how you are read, understood, and experienced.
And that is where interpretation becomes strategy.

We look forward to seeing how this immersive learning experience translates into future opportunities, a stronger vision, and a more competitive positioning for Catalan businesses through on the global stage.

Special thanks to the entire ACCIÓ team for their trust and collaboration, and to all participants for their engagement throughout the journey. These industrial clusters continue to strengthen their brands as their most strategic asset, transforming their industries through long-term relationships with their communities.

is not a product category. It is a new consumer mindset.

Recently, we had the privilege of contributing to the ACCIÓ Generalitat de Catalunya conference in , "Beyond the Product: How to Internationalise Through Longevity", where we explored one of the most significant opportunities shaping global markets today.

As populations in developed economies live longer, healthier and more active lives, consumers are no longer simply buying products, services or experiences. They are investing in wellbeing, vitality, quality of life and, ultimately, time.

For brands in health, wellness, beauty, nutrition and related sectors, this represents a fundamental shift in how value is created, positioned and communicated internationally.

At , we support companies and boards in navigating this transition through strategic branding, international positioning and market entry advisory, particularly across the and global premium markets.

One of the key messages shared during the session was clear:
Brands that understand longevity as a cultural and economic shift, not simply a category, will be better positioned to compete in premium international markets, where differentiation is increasingly driven by purpose, trust, experience and cultural relevance rather than product features alone.

Drawing from our recent international in London, New York and Tokyo, we analysed how some of the world's most influential neighbourhoods are redefining retail, wellness and consumer engagement:
• Williamsburg and SoHo, New York.
• Knightsbridge and Chelsea, London.
• Ginza and Shibuya, Tokyo.

These districts offer a strategic lens into the future of consumer behaviour, where branding, hospitality, wellness, technology and culture converge to create new forms of value.

The most successful international brands of the next decade will not be defined by what they sell. They will be defined by the future they help people achieve.

A football federation that became a global brand.

The no longer just manages results on the pitch. It manages a narrative that connects Buenos Aires, London, and Madrid around the same codified emotion.

3 keys that explain how they did it:

01. From federation to emotional multinational
With over 64 global sponsors and 100 post-World Cup alliances, the now operates as an ecosystem of sponsorships, content, education, and experiences.

02. The shirt as a second language
The AFA doesn’t just visit cities. It inhabits them symbolically. Where there’s an Argentine, there’s an Albiceleste shirt. And where there’s an Albiceleste shirt, there’s an active brand.

03. Football as cultural diplomacy
London brings financial legitimacy. Madrid brings community and academia. Two strategic nodes that turn nation branding into real soft power.

Its true asset isn’t trophies. It’s the ability to turn stadiums, classrooms, and phones into coherent brand touchpoints. & brandcelona

The AFA stopped being a federation. It became a nation brand with global reach.

After the 2022 World Cup, something changed structurally: over 100 active commercial alliances, a strategic presence in London and Madrid, and a university diploma created with Florida International University. This isn't sports management. It's high-level .

3 lessons any brand should learn:

1. A brand without an expansion strategy doesn't scale.
The AFA built its European growth on two pillars: regional sponsorships and a digital community. The $ARG fan token with Socios.com turns the UK and Spain into a laboratory for global monetisation.

2. Education is slow commercial expansion; but it lasts.
The Sports Leadership Diploma plants relationships, not just impressions. A long-term brand move that few sports organisations have the courage to execute.

3. Urban soft power: connecting cities is the new objective.
Buenos Aires, London, Madrid. The AFA operates as a networked system, connecting capitals and communities around the same emotion.

When a shirt becomes a language that cities understand, and want to keep hearing, the brand no longer needs to introduce itself.

How City Branding transforms Manchester through vision, identity and strategic ambition.

This week in , we had the privilege of attending the Old Trafford Regeneration Programme Strategic Briefing for Spanish Industry Leaders at the iconic Old Trafford Stadium, organised by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom together with Manchester United, the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and institutional representatives from both the UK and Spain.

What is being developed around Old Trafford goes far beyond stadium regeneration.
It is a sophisticated exercise in and economic positioning on a global scale, where sport, infrastructure, culture, investment and urban identity converge to redefine how a city projects itself internationally.

Projects of this scale are not simply urban developments. They are instruments of soft power, economic competitiveness and international relevance by design.
Particularly insightful were the perspectives shared by Karen Hirst and Collette Roche, whose vision demonstrated how contemporary urban regeneration increasingly operates as a multidimensional hashtag strategy designed not only to generate economic growth, but to create long-term meaning, attractiveness and global influence.

At , working between UK, Spain and LATAC in the fields of , and strategic positioning, it is deeply encouraging to see cities such as Manchester intentionally designing their future through ambition, coherence and international vision.

and allow countries and cities to compete globally: they attract investment, talent, and quality tourism. It’s not about a pretty logo; it’s about building a narrative that connects and generates real value.

hasn’t just reinvented its industrial past. It’s turned that reinvention into its greatest brand asset.

3 things that will change the way you see city branding:

01. A city brand can exist without a logo.
Manchester proves it: when behaviours are coherent, the narrative sustains itself. “Original Modern” isn’t a claim, it’s a permanent brief.

02. The most powerful symbols are born on the street.
The worker bee has featured on Manchester’s coat of arms since 1842. After the Manchester Arena attack in 2017, it became a global symbol of resilience. Identity, memory, and business in a single icon.

03. The future of city branding is a network of cities
The Manchester–Barcelona partnership confirms that cities no longer compete with one another. They use a co- strategy that feeds each other’s growth.

“A mature city isn’t measured by its graphic creativity, but by its ability to turn narrative into a real road map.” & brandcelona
