Today, the skies are making history. 🌒☀️

This evening, the Iberian Peninsula will witness its first total solar eclipse in 114 years, with totality visible across parts of Spain, Portugal, Iceland and Greenland, and a partial eclipse seen across much of Europe.

Millions of people are looking to the sky and travelling towards the path of totality. Few moments demonstrate the potential of astrotourism so powerfully.

From rural communities to remote destinations, experiences like this can attract new visitors, support local economies, diversify tourism and strengthen the case for protecting our dark skies and natural heritage.

Sometimes, the most extraordinary reason to travel is simply to look up. 🔭
