This means that here in the canaries we could face shortages of food, fuel, water or electricity. The government has issued a pre alert status and are monitoring the situation closely. Meanwhile we have had no access to the main government administrative sites. Hopefully all will be resolved overnight and normality resumes tomorrow. no need to panic buy toilet paper at this stage!

🔴 The Tourist Tax Returns in Mogán – Effective March 27

The High Court of Justice of the Canary Islands has lifted the suspension on Mogán’s Tourist Tax. This means all tourist accommodations must begin applying the tax again from Thursday, March 27.

What you need to know:
• €0.15 per person, per night
• Applies to all stays in the municipality of Mogán
• Simple to calculate – just multiply the number of overnight stays by €0.15
• Refunds may be issued in the future if the legal challenge is successful

According to the mayor, the process is straightforward and not an excessive burden for businesses.

Be sure to update your booking systems and inform your guests accordingly.

The amazing Foundation “Route 66” has mobilised action and has led the cleanup of 750 kilos of rubbish.
