So I tried to retire once, but I keep getting pulled right back in. Not that we stayed small for very long.

Cutting my teeth in the corporate world my wife and I left 50 years of corporate experience behind us in 2007 and started our own Franchise business and what we found was that lots of skills we had in corporate business where easily transferable into a small Franchise business. Within months of setting up we where ranked in the top three nationally of 220 franchises and winning Franchisor awards a

nd being nominated for New Franchise of the year. We hired our first staff members (always a scary time for a new Business) within 6 months and the business continued to grow as did the recognition from both within the franchise and with a London Wide Customer Service award. I instigated a full programme of coaching and mentor our staff with weekly meetings and goals for them to strive for. One goal was was employees future careers and where they would go after they left us. Our goal with the Franchise was to grow it to a level where it would pay for our retirement and so after 12 years and with 13 staff we sold the franchise and retired to Spain. Boy does that sound easier than it was and I shouldn't have coached my staff as previous employees of ours decided to start their own entrepreneurial journeys and I was happy to help and advise them. So, After the Jump Business Coaching was formed and I am here to help with all areas of Business coaching from the earliest days of a new Start up to the Full Marketing Campaign of an established business. My goal is to help ambitious Business Owners to build the business they thought they would have when they started their business and will leave you with one thought! Super successful Sportspeople have coaches why shouldn't a super successful business owner!

if you set realistic goals, you're missing out on an extraordinary life.
When you set small goals that inch you forward , you sell yourself short. Aim for big goals there's much to be said for aiming for the stars and hitting the moon.
But to reach these goals you need to understand them, have them crystal clear in your mind, in fact crystal should be cloudy compared to your vision and that's why you need a water tight business plan.
There's only two ways to make more profit get more clients and sell them more.
A good business sets out how your going to do this and makes you accountable to reach your goals and your extraordinary life.

Be Curious, Not Judgmental!
Write that down, because it's probably the motto and mantra of every successful Entrepreneur and business owner.
being a business owner means you get it but does your behaviour always match your understanding.
It's true we judge ourselves by our intentions but we judge others by their behaviours!
It's really hard to stick to this new 2022 motto but great businesses come from curiosity. If a piece of marketing performs worse than expected, don't just judge it be curious and review it in depth. Look at it through the eyes of a curious audience not a judgmental business owner.
if your reading a business book, don't jump to discount an idea that wont work in your business, be curious about it and think how it might work.
The list is endless
So, as entrepreneurs we start 2022, adopt Ted's motto and how could your business be better curious rather judgmental?

A really famous quote by Albert Einstein.

But maybe for business owners it should read " Strive not to be a successful business but to be of value and engage with your clients."

We are in the age of the professional Business owner and with 2022 just a blink around the corner , as business owners shouldn't we be focusing on how we get and keep clients, day in , day out, week in , week out , year in , year out.

In 2022 with all the choices consumers have, wouldn't you rather be their business of choice and wouldn't you be tat choice through engagement!
So, don't forget success, but get there focused on value and engagement and focus on reminding your clients to do business with you.

Put to paper, the life you want your business to provide and design you annual Goal🥅 setting all about helping you reflect on the impact of your goals🥅 this year while planning what you want to achieve next year. Retreat and reset if:

• You’ve had to change your goals🥅 this year and need to refocus for 2022
• You’ve achieved your goals 🥅ahead of time and need new direction
• You aren’t meeting your goals, 🥅or didn’t set them at all
