Each year we held a company dinner when summer is starting. Last friday, our factory team came together for a lovely meal and a great opportunity to connect in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. 🍽

These kind of activities strengthen team cohesion, encourage collaboration, and give the staff the opportunity to get to know each other better outside of the workplace.

The evening ended with fun games 🎨 and activities that encouraged teamwork, helping to create lasting memories and strengthen the bonds that make our team so special.

Take a look at the new envelope created to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Aero-Club of Switzerland!

Founded in 1901, the club will mark this remarkable milestone in 2026, celebrating its 125 years of dedication to aviation.

We are especially proud to have contributed to this celebration by manufacturing a custom balloon envelope for such a special occasion. Being part of projects like this one is always a privilege for our team.

Did you know that every hot air balloon starts as a two-dimensional pattern? 🎈

When you see a balloon flying, you're looking at a three-dimensional shape. But before it can be manufactured, every panel must be carefully transformed into a flat, two-dimensional pattern. 🎨

The same happens with the artwork. Logos and graphics are first designed on a 3D model, then projected and adapted to the balloon's 2D panels so that everything aligns perfectly once the envelope is assembled and inflated.

It's a process that combines engineering, design and manufacturing expertise. Creating a custom balloon is much more than simply printing a logo on fabric: There's a lot more geometry than you might think.

Meet Joan Carol! 👀

Joan started working at Ultramagic in 2024 as a burner technician/Mechanic, helping with the burner assembly process and supporting, with dedication, the day-to-day tasks of the workshop.

In his spare time, he enjoys chasing adventure and adrenaline. Whether he's skateboarding, biking 🚴or taking other extreme sports, he's always looking for his next challenge. He's also a true food enthusiast who loves discovering new restaurants and tasting delicious dishes. 🍝

This past weekend, Ultramagic Balloons UK took Finley the Turtle to the annual Midlands Air Festival !🇬🇧

The event had excellent flying conditions on the Friday and Saturday, where the team flew 34 miles (around 55km) in just under 2 hours on the Friday morning, almost back to their base in Northampton, a stunning evening flight on Friday evening, followed by a traditional Ragley Hall box flight on the Saturday morning, with 124 of 126 balloons landing in Ragley Hall Estate.

Look out for Finley at other events over the coming months, including the European Balloon Festival in Igualada in July. 👀👀
