Welcome September!

September brings a new season and, with it, a few new beginnings: new plans, new adventures, new things to try, and maybe even a few surprises along the way. 🌚🆕

XLII Campeonato de España de Aerostación. 🏆

The Spanish National championship 2026 brought together some of Spain's best competition pilots from 19-23 August in Haro, La Rioja. What a background for ballooning: the vineyards, the historic town, the Rioja landscape and dozens of colourful balloons filling the skies.

A very special congratulations to 🥇Blai Carbonell , 🥈Ricardo Aracil and 🥉Oscar Portillo for their amazing performance.

A huge thank you as well to all the pilots, crews, organisers , officials, volunteers and everyone who helped bring another spectacular edition of the championship o Haro.

On August 12th, we flew over Castillo de Raya, near the border between Aragón and Castilla y León, to experience a total solar eclipse from the air. ☀🌑😎

Witnessing an eclipse from a hot air balloon made an extraordinary moment even more special. Up there, surrounded by silence and with nothing between us and the horizon, we watched the sky change from light to darkness as the moon slowly covered the sun. 😍

Ballooning has always been about more than flying. It is about adventure, freedom and seeing the world from a different perspective. And sometimes, it takes us to truly exceptional places and moments — the kind of flights that stay with you forever.

This wasn't our first eclipse adventure. In 2015, we flew during the total solar eclipse in Svalbard. In 2019, we were in Argentina. And now, in 2026, we have added another very special place to the list — this time, much closer to home. 🏠

Three eclipses. Three places. Three unforgettable flights.

A reminder of how small we are compared to the universe — and how fortunate we are that ballooning allows us to experience extraordinary natural phenomena in such a unique way. 🤩🎈

Some flights are more than flights. They become adventures we never forget.

From the 10th o the 16th of August, the 52e Championnat de France de Montgolfière/British National Hot Air Balloon Championship took place in Marmande, France.

Pilots from France and the UK battled it out across a series of challenging competition flights, putting their skill, precision and experience to the test.

Now that the championship has come to an end, we would like to congratulate Dom Bareford for taking overall victory and Alex Béjat on an excellent second-place finish, and the highest-ranked French pilot in the competition.

A week of incredible flying and unforgettable moments.

Congratulations to on winning his first U.S. National Championship in Scottsbluff, Nebraska! From the 9th to 15th of August. 🏆

Landon flew an Ultramagic M-60Z Racer to an incredible victory, showcasing outstanding skill and precision throughout the competition. Standing beside Landon on the podium was our very own , who finished an impressive 2nd place. And congratulations to Jobe Skinner on a strong week and a 9th-place finish!

We couldn’t be more proud to see these pilots performing at the highest level in their Ultramagic Balloons. Congratulations, Landon, John, and Jobe! 🎈🏆

Meet John Petrehn!

Joining the Ultramagic team in 2022, John serves as our Director of Operations USA. 🇺🇸 He oversees all sales, customer support and brand promotion for Ultramagic in the United States.

Outside of work, John is a World Champion balloon pilot who loves traveling to new destinations and firing up his pizza oven. We’re proud to have John on our team—a dedicated leader with a passion for Ultramagic, ballooning and the people who make our sport special. 😁

Earlier this year, we created a balloon for in collaboration with for the advertising of Marathon du Lac d'Annecy! 💙

One of France's most picturesque marathons, this race takes runners along the shores of Lake Annecy with a backdrop of the French Alps. 🗻

Hot Air Balloons are a powerful way to promote sporting events, and we are very happy to have participated in this one. 🥰

We've been flying in Matera, Italy, these past few days! 🇮🇹

Although the weather has been a little unpredictable, we have been lucky enough to enjoy some days soaring above the ancient Sassi. An unforgettable experience.

Stunning views and peaceful moments at one of Italy's most extraordinary destinations.
