What an incredible week at the 22nd Swiss Cup & Swiss National Hot Air Balloon Championship in Langenthal, Switzerland 🇨🇭

The competition, that went on last week, showcased the very best of ballooning skill, teamwork, and passion. Pilots from across Europe and beyond came together to push their limits and create an amazing atmosphere both in the air and on the ground. ❤

Huge congratulations to everyone who competed: specially to David Strasmann , flying an Ultramagic B-55 🎈, for his 3rd place 🥉, Roman Hugi for his 2nd place 🥈, and Stefan Zeberli , flying an Ultramagic racer 🎈, for his 8th time being Swiss champion 🥇. We were also able to spot some other Ultramagic racers doing outstanding performances in Swiss skies...👀

A special thank you to the organizers, crews, volunteers and supporters who made this event possible. Already looking forward to the next one!

Which was the first festival you attended? Al-Ula

Mar says: Qui ho havia de dir que un festival ens canviaria tant i de manera tan positiva! (Who would have thought that a festival would change us so much, and in such a positive way!)✅

We went there really excited to experience it from the inside and to see how an international festival works in such a different and much larger setting.

Pol, my best friend and teammate, and I went together. We had already been flying together for years, and there we got to share flights with teams from all over the world and learn different ways of doing things, surrounded by an impressive landscape and truly beautiful hot air balloons. 😍

The landscapes of AlUla were spectacular, and even though the flights always took place in the same area, Hegra, we also made the most of it by going out with the other teams to explore the surroundings. Every day felt like a new adventure, since there were always ''live show surprises'' happening!

New experiences that made the trip even more interesting and fun. 😃

It was also a meeting point. We reconnected with pilots we hadn't seen in a long time, met new people, and formed friendships that are still going strong today.

Pol met the love of his life there. And I found a clearer direction for myself: to keep travelling, working in other countries, and taking part in more festivals and projects. 😎

From that moment on, new opportunities, contacts, and experiences started to come our way.

It was an experience that opened doors for us, and left us with countless stories and anecdotes!

Today we dedicate this post to the power of books and stories!🥀📖

On this special occasion we remember ''Africa in a balloon'', by Jaume Llansana. The book tells the true story of a group of friends who, in 1980, crossed Africa in a hot air balloon they designed and built themselves. An 11-month journey with 40 flights between Zanzibar (Tanzania) and Kisangani (Congo).

From that experience, Ultramagic was born, and since then it has continued sharing the magic of ballooning with thousands of people, having built more than 2000 balloons around the world.

On April 14th and 15th, the flight simulator placed at the Ultramagic factory from and developed by@espaceballonchax , was open for our team to try out. 🎈😍

As part of the sessions, a friendly competition was held: Congrats to everyone on the podium for their outstanding performance in the simulation: Iker, Marc C, Victòria and Marc M! 🎉👏You almost managed to land right on the target! 🎯

It was great to see the engagement and enthusiasm throughout both days. Maybe there are some future pilots among our factory staff...?👩🏼‍✈️👨🏽‍✈️
