As we approach the end of the year, Sageseas is delighted to invite you to the first of our Captains Round Table, where we will be exploring how leaders can be the catalysts (and sometimes the dividers) for an energised, cohesive and resilient team.

The session will be led by Amazon best-selling author and international speaker Simon Shepard, who will focus on what he refers to as the Key Human Performance Indicators - the factors that underpin sustained human performance.

With three decades of working with teams from the worlds of sport and business this is a session that we hope will provide you with an opportunity to Reflect, Realign and Reboot and consider how you will look after yourself and your people in 2024.

The hour will be interactive, so places will be limited to 12.

Merry Christmas to all!
2022 has been great for Dextra Marine. New clients and strengthening the relationship of existing ones. It gives me so much satisfaction when I see them reach the goals we have set together.
Looking forward to some fresh challenges in the New Year! I am off for a few days to get some snow therapy ❄️

Somebody asked me yesterday why I don't go and work for a big company?
Let me explain.
I could use my legal qualifications and have regular hours and a set income.
However working on my own terms enables me to...

❤ Hang out with my daughter who is growing up fast but still needs me to be around. I intend to grab every opportunity with her I can. She will grow up feeling secure, loved and important to me.
❤ Get up at dawn to finish a report so I could take a 3 hour lunch break to catch up with a friend yesterday. Nobody cares when my work is done. I decide my hours.
❤ I choose my clients and they choose me. We work together and if sometimes that means me going the extra mile to help them out of hours, I don't have to justify time spent.
❤ Every day is different. I love the challenges this presents.
❤ My little rescue dog with separation anxiety lays at my feet most days and comes with me on assignments.
❤ I stopped off between meetings today and swam in the ocean. Nobody asked where I had been.

I don't have certain financial security. But I would rather live now and do what I love than be secure in the short term, play it safe and hate my work.
I have seawater, salty toes and a huge smile on my face.
❤ I am free!
