Recently we have been branching out into different sectors.

One of the things that has really stood out is how we are able to advise other companies on the best approach for their requirements.

We have a strong team of experts all the way from Design - CNC - 3D Printing - Manufacture - Installation.

What has been made more clear is how we are able to turn visions / ideas into a reality and very quickly and efficiently.

We are effectively using our new technologies 3D scanning - 3D printing to reverse engineer complex parts and 3D printed assembly jigs to help increase our efficiency.

Composite Boatbuilders/ Laminators / Technicians (Sub-Contractor) – 2-3 Month Contract in Palma, Mallorca

i3 composites, a leading Marine composite boatbuilding and Superyacht Refit/Repair company based in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, is urgently seeking semi-skilled to intermediate-level Composite Boatbuilders and Laminators for a short-term contract of 2 to 3 months.

We are exceptionally busy and need reliable, highly competent individuals to join our team immediately.

The Position (Sub-Contractor/Self-Employed)
Duration: 2-3 month contract, with potential for longer-term engagement.

Rate: Competitive hourly rate TBC depending on the candidates experience / skill level / Tools equipment

Work Scope: High-end composite boatbuilding, working on varied and interesting projects from carbon fibre product manufacturing (swim ladders, fenders) to superyacht refits / current custom workshop manufacturing projects

Requirements (Minimum Intermediate Level would be beneficial. We also have work for lesser skilled individuals working in a team so be clear on what position you are applying for.

Alternatively other skilled trades men (Carpenters / Yacht painters could also be helpful for some of the type of work we currently have.

Candidates should rate themselves at the Intermediate level (3-8 years experience) or higher, and must be able to perform the following:

Demonstrate a good understanding of all composite boat building processes and procedures.

Possess a good knowledge/experience of hand lamination, resin infusion, and pre-preg lamination setups would be a bonus.

Have all necessary personal tools to perform aspects of composite boatbuilding (from laminating to trimming and installing components.

Note on Accommodation: Due to current difficulties in Mallorca, accommodation is no longer provided for short-term contractors. Candidates must arrange their own accommodation.
