X-Yachts cumple 40 años.

On Friday the 7 of June, the 40 Years Anniversary Gold Cup takes place at the yard in Haderslev, where it all began.

Niels and Lars Jeppesen and Birger Hansen built their first X-79, which later turned out to be a winning racer recognized throughout the world, which was the foundation for a 40 years journey.

Since then, X-Yachts have built more than 6,000 boats and 60 different boat models.

125 boats, 15 nationalities and 1000 crewmembers will be presents at the start line this weekend.

It’s the second time Gold Cup will be held in Haderslev, last time was during the 20 Years anniversary in 1999.

HEADING EAST...
After 8 months of sailing, Atlantic crossing, winter base in St. Barth, AC sailing in Bermuda,, we are now bringing our 2 XP50s back to Spain, where we will hand over our 2 XP50s to new owners..
New exiting things for 2018 is on the drawing board, we look forward to presenting them shortly..
A big thank you to Morten Lorenzen for setting us in Bermuda, to all the staff at RBYC who made us feel at home
But off course mostly to our skipper crew Travis Tubman and Lyndsay G**k who have been outstanding, and of course all the people who have helped them out along the way from It has not always but downwind sailing... to put it mildly...
Finally, also a big thank you to Jørn, Jes, Christian, Johanna, Siggi & Ida ...you all know why..
ETA in Spain is 14 days from now,, this time the crossing is done on top of a yacht transport in company with a few J Class also heading back East from Bermuda.
