Lets learn a little about some of our favorite wines...

Most of you have been enjoying Primitivo at Taste for some time now. It is also commonly found in some of your favorite wine shops and gourmet stores.

Primitivo (the grape) from Southern Italy is made into full bodied, moderately tannic red wines that are meant to be drunk three to four years after harvest.

The main characaterics are fruit driven with notes of blackberry, strawberry, cherry, and raisin
Earthy and rustic. High in alcohol.

Food pairing for this wine include:
Braised goat or lamb
Grilled steak with balsamic glaze
Blood sausage (black pudding)
Eggplant parmesan
Dry firm cheeses such as Pecorino or Parmesan

Even though we can't host you right now, pick up a bottle to enjoy at home on our recommendation!
