Our names are Dido & Jurriaan. As Grapehunters we travelled all over the world to make wine. Since 2018 we farm our 9,5 hectare of vines in the Empordà.

From these grapes we make wine without additives.

For this Vinyl Friday we paired it with Aldous Harding’s Fixture Picture — a song that perfectly matches the atmosphere around this bottle: one of a kind.

Every bunch of Garnacha is dried on cane mats and turned by hand, morning and evening, for two weeks straight. A labor of love inspired by Sweet Jane by The Velvet Underground 🎶

We opened our 2019 pét-nat… and it was still alive 🍾

For this Vinyl Friday we opened one of the last two bottles of our very first pét-nat of Magic Potion, made in 2019 and inspired by the album Magic Potion by The Black Keys 🎵

We went down into our private cellar to see what was still alive inside the bottle after all these years…

Longtime followers might also notice how the Magic Potion label evolved over time. And some of you may remember that the original Magic Potion artwork later returned on another Tortuga cuvée… guess which one 👀

“A wise man once said: ‘Put as much compost on the vines as you can afford.’

We believe that a happy vineyard produces grapes that ferment easily without help, without additions.
A healthy vineyard is, at the very least, organic—free from harmful chemicals like pesticides and herbicides.🍀

That’s why we add compost: to nourish the soil and create a living, nurturing environment for the vines! 👩🏼‍🌾👨🏼‍🌾

“Comfortably Numb” is the state you wanna be in after drinking this wine!

Yes, we borrowed it from Pink Floyd 🍷 but today we play the (awesome) cover by Scissor Sisters ✂️👯‍♀️

The new version of this wine is bottled yesterday, and we changed its name to “Comfy Numb”, a little easier to pronounce 😉
