THIS is why I changed how I practice holistic medicine.
I’ve always taken really good care of myself. I’ve eaten well, exercised, meditated, etc. All the recommended stuff.
My body is extremely sensitive and I have to take extra care of it - or it lets me know!
But there’s just so much conflicting advice and information out there, right?
I found that a lot of times when I would try to follow a specific eating plan or exercise routine, even if it was “evidence-based”, I would often feel worse.
But I really didn’t want to be bound by an extremely strict lifestyle and diet. I wanted freedom and fun!
Especially after I had kids, I found myself exhausted and in pain. My hair was falling out and I was getting sick left and right.
How could this be, if I was “doing everything right”?
One day I realized that all of this apparently scientific advice just wasn’t right for ME.
And I started really HONORING that - that MY body needed something different than what is supposedly good for everyone.
Because you’re not everyone. You’re YOU.
When I discovered that I could ASK my body and TEST it myself to quickly and easily see what it needed in any given moment,
That’s when things really began to change.
Turns out I needed a lot more rest than exercise to lose weight.
Turns out I needed a lot less protein than is usually recommended.
Turns out I needed to eat MORE.
Turns out I need more energy and lightwork than meditation.
I never would have known that if I’d just kept forcing my body to do what was “scientifically proven” to be good for it.
This totally changed my life and also how I practice medicine.
I no longer adhere to ANY dogma - not even the Chinese Medicine training I worked so hard for.
I still use that - just only when your body really needs it.
If your body needs to release emotional traumas, then we do that.
If your body needs a new way of nourishment, then I help you find that exact plan for YOU.
If your body needs healing and clearing on the energetic level, then we do that.
I am finding that this way of working is SO MUCH more respectful of your body, of your BEING.
It’s a way of HONORING your body, mind, and spirit.
And guess what? Your body really, really appreciates that. Your whole being appreciates it.
And when it feels that honoring, and it gets what it REALLY needs…it begins to heal!
