Most people don’t struggle in Galicia’s entrepreneurship ecosystem because they lack ideas.

They struggle because nobody explains how the ecosystem actually connects.

So we mapped it.

From startup programs and grants to incubators, funding pathways, and support networks, this is a practical guide to navigating Galicia’s entrepreneurial landscape — especially for founders, returnees, immigrants, and people building outside the typical startup mold.

Galicia has more opportunity than many people realize. But access means very little without orientation.

Take note: “Spring Entrepreneurs Fair 2026” at Praza da Maior in Lugo on 30/05. Open from 10:30–18:30, free for all citizens, it will feature 25 stands by women artisans from the province of Lugo.

In addition, two round tables will be held:

11:00–11:45: Round table: “Together we innovate: cooperation and future in craftsmanship.”

12:00–12:45: Round table: “Circular and purposeful craftsmanship: positioning and sales potential.”

The fair will also include a craft demonstration led by the company Fusaiola, where attendees will learn how to weave and use basic techniques of “gorullo” through the use of rigid heddle table looms.

Additionally, from 13:45 onwards, there will be a tasting area with a food truck, music, and entertainment.

The 5th Spring Entrepreneurs Fair is organized by the Campus Terra of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) in collaboration with the City Council of Lugo, the Provincial Council of Lugo, Creativas Galegas, Artesanía de Galicia, and the Association of Artisans of Lugo, and is funded by the Regional Ministry of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training and by Caixa Rural.
