We're delighted to share that LiveGalicia founder Ángela-Jo Touza-Medina will be speaking at the 2026 Nomad Summit in Tallinn this July.
Her talk, Rooted and Remote: Migration, Belonging, and the Future of Location-Independent Work, explores a question that sits at the heart of LiveGalicia's work: what does it take not just to relocate, but to truly belong?
As increasing numbers of people build lives across borders, conversations about integration, community, identity, and place are becoming more important than ever. While technology has made location-independent work possible, meaningful connection still depends on our relationships with the places we choose to call home and the communities that welcome us.
Drawing on more than 25 years of experience in migration, refugee and immigrant integration, social impact, international development, and community building—and on nearly a decade of work through LiveGalicia— Ángela-Jo will explore how belonging can be cultivated in an increasingly mobile world.
We're grateful to the Nomad Summit team for creating space for these conversations and look forward to contributing to the dialogue alongside an inspiring international community of speakers, founders, researchers, and changemakers.
