A Powerful Start to !

Our co-founder & CEO, Kidist Gebramlak, joined a dynamic panel on “Investment and Entrepreneurship Ecosystems” at the Freedom 250 Business Showcase, hosted by the U.S. Embassy Public Diplomacy team at the Satchmo Center. The event brought together entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders from the U.S. and Ethiopia to explore how stronger commercial ties can turn innovative ideas into scalable businesses.

Panelists shared insights on finance, trade, talent development, and growth opportunities, discussing practical pathways for entrepreneurs; from export standards and policy reforms to cross-border partnerships and franchising. Public Diplomacy Officer Jonathan Koehler delivered inspiring remarks, setting the tone for a year of collaboration and shared prosperity.

0101 celebrates this inspiring start and remains committed to empowering entrepreneurs with knowledge, networks, and opportunities to thrive in Ethiopia and beyond.

BrewHerImpact - From Functional Excellence to Enterprise Impact

brought together women leaders at HEINEKEN Ethiopia for an immersive enterprise leadership experience focused on strengthening how leaders think, decide, and show up under complexity and pressure.

The program moved beyond traditional leadership training by placing participants inside a real-time enterprise simulation, requiring them to diagnose systemic challenges, manage competing priorities, and exercise judgment before action. This reinforced a critical shift from being valued for expertise to being trusted for enterprise-level decision-making.

As the sessions progressed, leaders practiced influencing beyond formal authority and communicating with clarity and calm when visible judgment mattered most. The experience underscored that at senior levels, leadership is less about having the right answers and more about framing the right questions.

A defining moment was the leadership conversation with our invited guest speaker, Menna Selamu Bekele, Co-founder of Flipper International School and CEO & Co-founder of Prime Integrated Services, who shared grounded insights on executive responsibility, credibility, and resilient leadership.

By the close of the program, one message was clear: enterprise leadership is not defined by speed, but by judgment, presence, and intentional influence.

Grateful to HEINEKEN Ethiopia for investing in leadership that enables women to step into enterprise stewardship and lead with confidence at scale.

BrewHerLeadership II – Empowering Women to Come to the Forefront of Leadership

BrewHerLeadership expanded its impact through Cohort II, strengthening Heineken Ethiopia women leaders’ capacity to lead effectively, make sound decisions, and exercise influence within complex organizational environments.

Grounded in practical leadership frameworks, the program connected learning directly to real workplace challenges. Participants explored how they set priorities, navigate responsibility, and lead with clarity and intention, supported by structured exercises, simulations, and targeted peer feedback that translated insight into action.

Through hands-on engagement, participants enhanced their ability to manage stakeholders, align diverse perspectives, and communicate with credibility. Executive presence was reinforced through activities that emphasized purposeful dialogue, constructive challenge, and accountability.

Peer learning remained central to the experience. By openly sharing challenges and lessons learned, participants built a trusted space for reflection, where both successes and setbacks contributed to growth and strengthened self-belief.

By the close of Cohort II, participants emerged with practical tools, refined leadership focus, and the confidence to step forward with authority; positioned to contribute more decisively and lead with impact across Heineken Ethiopia.

Empowering Women Leaders at Heineken Ethiopia — BrewHerLeadership

What happens when women come together to intentionally strengthen their leadership capacity?

Transformation. Connection. Confidence.

Under the broader Brew Her Path umbrella, BrewHerLeadership was designed as a focused leadership development experience, bringing together women leaders from different functions within Heineken Ethiopia to deepen how they lead, influence, and show up in critical professional spaces.

Designed and delivered by Zero One Zero One Tech & Entrepreneurship, this leadership-focused edition emphasized executive presence, resilience, and influence; translating leadership concepts into practical, lived experiences.

Throughout the sessions, participants explored how to align personal purpose with organizational goals, effectively engage key stakeholders, lead with authenticity and confidence, and reframe self-doubt into strengthened self-efficacy.

A key highlight was an inspiring conversation with Frehiwot Worku Beyene, whose leadership journey reinforced that leadership is not defined by titles alone, but by impact, growth, and belief in one’s potential.

By the end of the program, participants walked away not only with practical leadership tools, but with renewed clarity, confidence, and commitment to lead with intention and conviction.
