Matrix Health and development Solutions Plc (Matrix for short) is established by a group of highly qualified and experienced national experts in various fields who have had long years of consultancy experience. The company is registered by the relevant government authority and has a valid certificate and license (See attachment). Matrix came into being with the vision to see a transformed
health system in Ethiopia in general and in pastoral areas in particular; the aspiration to be the number one consulting firm in the area of health and development, and to be a hub for the best of professionals. Although Matrix as an organization is only at its nascent stage (founded in 2012), the people who established and running have been working in the consultancy sector for more than ten years and are seasoned professionals in the complete sense of the term. Its main areas of engagement include organizing trainings, workshops and related events, undertaking consultancy researches in the fields of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) including HIV&AIDS, other health issues, gender issues, harmful traditional practices, education, water, sanitation, food security and nutrition, based on the principles and values of Innovation, Flexibility, Excellence and Team Work. Matrix’s current fulltime staff members include four professionals and five support staff. It has however more than 11 associate members belonging to diverse professional background (social sciences, public health, education , agriculture, water and sanitation, etc) with immense experience in the public, private and NGO sectors. What they all have in common is rich experience in their respective expertise, diligence, and commitment. Since its establishment, Matrix has exhibited a quality technical and administrative capacity for undertaking baseline studies, evaluation assignments of development programs as well as training and policy designs.
