Headline: Heavy to very heavy rainfall expected over parts of western and southern Sudan, north-western Eritrea, and eastern Ethiopia. Warmer than average temperatures expected in most parts of the Greater Horn of Africa except parts of central Sudan and eastern horn parts of the region.

Total rainfall
Heavy rainfall (above 200mm) predicted over parts of western Sudan, north-western Eritrea, and central Ethiopia.
Moderate rainfall (50-200mm) expected over southern Sudan, southern to northern South Sudan, central, eastern and northern Ethiopia, north-western Eritrea, Djibouti, and north-western Somalia.
Light rainfall (less than 50 mm) expected over parts of eastern and southern Tanzania, coastal and central Kenya, northern Uganda, southern and northern Somalia, coastal parts of Eritrea, central to northern Sudan, and southern Ethiopia.
Dry conditions expected over central to western Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, southern Uganda, northern and eastern Kenya, central Somalia, and southern Ethiopia.

Wetter than average conditions expected over eastern and western regions of Sudan, north-western Eritrea, eastern Ethiopia, Djibouti, and north-western Somalia.
Drier than average conditions predicted over parts of western Ethiopia, north-western South Sudan, localized areas of south-eastern and south-western Sudan, central to northern Uganda, and western Kenya.
Exceptional Rainfall
Extremely heavy (top 1%) rainfall expected over parts of western Sudan, north-western Eritrea, Djibouti, and few areas in Afar region of Ethiopia.
Heavy to very heavy (top 10-5%) rainfall expected over parts of southern and eastern Sudan, north-western Eritrean, eastern Ethiopia, Djibouti, and northern Somalia.
