One of the better parts of Nordic Fintech Summit 2026 was handing a stage to people who actually say what they think.

Pål Krogdahl and Ville Sointu recorded a live episode of Fintech Daydreaming in front of the room, and they did not hold back: the real state of stablecoins (and whether the euro version has a use case yet), whether Helsinki actually is the Nordic gateway to the Eurozone, and what core modernization takes once you strip out the buzzwords.

Some of the sharpest moments came from the guests pushing back on the easy answers, including the framing on our own slides.

If you were in the room, you know the energy. If you were not, the episode is now out and worth your commute.

AlphaSense just closed a $350M round at a $7.5 billion valuation, nearly doubling from their last $4 billion mark.

Founded in Finland, now serving over 70% of the S&P 500 and crossing $600M in annual recurring revenue. Quite a story.

What amazing sessions we had on the Highlights Stage. Fantastic insights from Emil Sunvisson CEO of Qred, who shared Qred's strategy and thoughts on Agents in SME Lending. Another special thanks to Thorsten Seeger, Management Board Member at SME Bank for giving us his grounded and future thinking perspective. Lastly, cheers to Alexandra Grisanti for hosting the Highlights stage. What momentum we saw on this stage. It was a fantastic year at the Summit.

On this day 10 years ago (28 April 2016) we hosted our first Future Digital Finance Forum.

The agenda back then was regulation, open banking, blockchain, digital transformation, payments, and digital infrastructure. Still the same themes. What has changed is the timeline: with things like PSD2, we’re only now starting to see real effects at scale. If you follow trends in finance, don’t hold your breath, but don’t give up either if something doesn’t happen in two years. This stuff takes time. At Fintech Farm we’ve always played the long game.

Over the years the original forum has evolved into year-round streams:
• Nordic Fintech Summit: the premium ecosystem layer for Nordic fintech decision-makers, built around the leaders of Nordic fintech and Nordic Fintech Highlights.
• Nordic Banking Forum: year-round learning and executive-level conversations for digital finance professionals.

And yes, the 2016 stage lineup still makes me smile. Viranomaisyhteistyö finanssialalla on muuttunut paljon viime vuosina.
Yhden valvojan sijaan toimijat ovat tekemisissä useiden viranomaisten kanssa, ja yhä useammin kysymykset menevät suoraan liiketoimintaan, dataan ja prosesseihin.

Tänään käytiin käytännönläheisesti läpi mm.:
