Meet Our Summer Employees ☀️

This summer, Nea and Petronella are part of the EWQ team.

Nea is a 23 year old master's student in Business Administration at the University of Jyväskylä, majoring in Marketing. She is already spending her fifth summer at EWQ and enjoys the variety of tasks and the opportunity to learn something new every day.

Petronella is an 18 year old recent high school graduate who has applied to study Media. Having returned for a second summer at EWQ, she enjoys gaining hands on experience while exploring her interests in communications, English, and coding.

EWQ 30th Anniversary: The Best Part Was Being Together 💛

Our 30th anniversary celebration brought together customers, partners and friends from Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark for an unforgettable evening.

Looking around the venue, one thing stood out above everything else: the people. The conversations, laughter, shared memories and new connections made the celebration truly special.

What a month May has been for EWQ. ✨

From Helsinki to Stockholm, we've had the pleasure of meeting customers, partners and colleagues at Kaupan Tila, Apteekkaripäivät and Retail Technology.

May also marked an important milestone as we celebrated EWQ's 30th Anniversary 🎉 and introduced SuperQueue at our Stockholm showroom.

Along the way, there were warm encounters, inspiring discussions, plenty of laughter and many memorable moments. 💙

Yeppo & Soonsoo, a Korean beauty and lifestyle retail brand, wanted to improve the customer experience and make daily store operations easier ✨ That’s why they moved from paper price tags to electronic shelf labels in their Tripla store in Helsinki, starting with this location as a pilot.

Previously, paper price tags had to be laminated, especially for testers, and managing them took time. Tags were stored at the cashier by brand, and finding the right one slowed down daily work.

With ESL (electronic shelf labels), the store now looks cleaner and more organized 🧼 At the same time, manual work is reduced and everyday tasks are easier. There’s no longer a need to store or constantly replace paper tags.

“We used to spend a lot of time searching for and changing price tags. Now everything is in one place and updates instantly. It really makes our work easier,” says Patricia, Sales Associate 💬

The solution has also been praised for its easy-to-use app, making price management quick and effortless. The team at the Tripla store hopes to introduce the solution in other stores as well 🤞

In March, EWQ participated in Refresh Retail 2026 in Copenhagen.

Our three-person team – Mikaela Laurila, Jan Holm and Stefan Björklund – represented EWQ across Marketing, Sales and local market leadership, engaging with retailers and partners from our stand throughout the event.

The discussions confirmed a continued shift towards more experience-driven stores, with increasing focus on customer experience, data-driven communication and operational efficiency.
