How should we be prepare for future crises? How can we develop service systems to be more crisis-resistant? How must we anticipate the possibility of pandemics and other crises through legislation?

This and much more will be discussed at the "Crisis Resilient Finland" event on 2 October. We welcome you to hear researchers analysis on the lessons of the COVID-19 pandemic and what should be done to improve Finland's crisis preparedness.

The event will take place in Tiedekulma and online and be held in Finnish.

It is organised by the Strategic Research Programme Pandemics as a Societal Challenge (PANDEMICS) and Pandemics and Other Crises – Responses and Preparedness (RESILIENCE) in cooperation with MTV.

Talouspoliittista keskusteluamme ohjaavat tietyt vallitsevat olettamukset siitä, mitä olemme pitäneet tosiasioina tai ainakin terveenä järkenä. Siksi Demos Helsingin vaalipaneelissa 2.3. halusimme tehdä nämä olettamukset näkyviksi. Yllä oleva kysymys panelisteille perustuu seuraavaan tunnistamaamme aiempaan olettamukseen:

Globaaliin talouteen kohdistuu merkittäviä muutospaineita. Pienenä vientivetoisena taloutena Suomi on tukeutunut sääntöperustaiseen globaaliin kauppajärjestelmään. Miten puolueet uskovat kauppapolitiikan kehittyvän 2020-luvulla?
