Mud, roots, rocks, hills… and 17 determined Siili Sonic Runners 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃

This year's Bodom Team 10 km trail run took us through the beautiful trails of Nuuksio National Park, with plenty of nature, teamwork, and good vibes along the way.

Great company, beautiful scenery, and shared finish-line moments made this another unforgettable team experience. Huge thanks to everyone who participated — especially Karoliina Tiuraniemi for making it all happen!

Moments like these are exactly what Siili Clubs are all about: bringing people together around shared interests and creating connections beyond everyday work. What if the hardest part of AI search isn’t the AI itself?

Last week at DrupalCamp Finland, together with Aalto University, the University of Helsinki and Mearra, we shared practical lessons from building AI-powered search experiences for large university environments.

One key takeaway stood out clearly: successful AI search starts with information architecture, not prompts.

Who owns the content? Is the information current and trustworthy? What happens when the answer is wrong? And how do you fail gracefully when confidence is low?

Both cases showed the importance of grounding answers in verified content, keeping traditional search as a fallback, and treating AI as a complement rather than a replacement.

Thank you to everyone who joined the conversations at Kauppalehti Teknologia 2026 and thank you Alma Media for organizing an excellent event. It was great to see how strongly the discussion around AI has shifted from experimentation to practical transformation.

At the event, our AI Strategy & Transformation Vice Precident Maria Niiniharju spoke about why AI only becomes truly transformative when it becomes part of everyday work, leadership, and decision-making.

One of the strongest themes in the discussion was that technology alone rarely creates impact. Real change happens when organizations redesign workflows, operating models, and ways of working around AI.

The latest research shared by Maria was eye-opening: only 6% of organizations are currently top performers in AI, while 56% of CEOs say their AI investments have not delivered financial value. At the same time, organizations investing in change management see 7× higher success rates.

Maria also shared practical examples from recruitment, customer service, and software development. In every case, the biggest impact came not from the tool itself, but from redesigning the process around it. Adding AI on top of old ways of working creates incremental gains. Building AI-native workflows changes the economics entirely.

A couple of weeks ago, we filled our Siili Kamppi office with screens, games, and good company! 🕹️

Now it’s time to hear from the people behind it. We sat down with Oliver Rikkilä and Valtteri Kukkola, who brought the Siili LAN to life, from the first ideas to the final setup.

For us, events like this are about more than just playing games. They’re a way to spend time together, meet current and old colleagues outside project work, and build the kind of community that carries into everyday work.

With over 1,250 participants registered for the live stream, we were pleased to host the live stream at our Kamppi office and participate with our own session:

“Data is not the new oil. It is a portrait of people.”

Our experts Julia Manninen, Iris Tomaszewski, and Eliisa Sarkkinen shared how design brings meaning to data, reminding us that data is not just input, but a reflection of people. Data helps us understand what is happening, and design helps us decide what truly matters, ensuring the solutions we build are relevant to the people they serve.

Last month, our Karoliina Tiuraniemi with our partners Finavia, Finnish Meteorological Institute - Ilmatieteen laitos and Vaisala joined the Passenger Terminal Expo in London – and came back with a clear message from airport operators across Europe.Airports are not short on technology. The real challenge is making sense of it.

From our conversations at PTE, three themes stood out
- Regulation like CP1 is shaping the direction, but decisions are increasingly made by the people running daily operations.
- The focus now is on building a shared, real-time operational picture that supports proactive decision-making.
- New technologies need to be tied to clear business value

At PTE, we showcased our “Future-Proof Airports” approach together with our partners, combining AOS situational awareness with AWANTO weather intelligence. Our one takeaway - Airports are looking for ways to turn complexity into clarity. This is where shared situational awareness becomes essential.

Last weekend, we gathered at our Kamppi office for a LAN event! 🕹️✨🎮

The setup was simple: good company, plenty of screens, and a mix of games running throughout the weekend. From fast-paced rounds in Super Mario Kart and FIFA 2026 2vs2 Tournaments to more relaxed sessions with board games and Pro Pilkki, there was something for everyone.

What stood out most wasn’t just the games, but the shared time together. Stepping away from everyday work, meeting colleagues in a different setting, and enjoying a weekend built around a common interest. A big thank you to everyone who joined and made it happen.
