Dear friend,

As the November is approaching fast we are getting closer and closer to our second Intensive Programme (IP No.2). The event is taking place in Tartu, Estonia at the premises of the Estonian University of Life Sciences, Institute of Technology.

Let's share some light into the upcoming event. As you all probably know by now NordERP is an initiative put together for the purpose of sharing the knowledge and experience about the subject of Enterprise Resource Planning - ERP. One might be inclined to say that this is something more towards the topic of business management than the “hard-core” engineering. We think the truth is somewhere in between and for sure knowledge of ERP will be beneficial for everybody involved in some manufacturing activity.

Thus in Tartu we have the very ambitious plan to set up something we have named “the pop-up factory” :) And yes, this event will be about manufacturing i.e. about actually making/fabricating something and experiencing the problems arising on the way. It is not a course only about CNC-machining, no stuff can be made/manufactured with several other methods too forging, casting, injection molding to name a few. You can think of this event like about a kind of Garage or ThinkTank. We bring a bunch of talented and open minded young people together we give them a task to solve and infrastructure (CAD; CAM; CNC; 3D print, Laser-cutting) for doing it. Several lectures and workshops will be in place to guide you on this journey.

Don't forget - it is not only about hard working and intensive learning! We promise you a social programme you will not forget too!

Apply to participate in an international intensive programme with students from Stavanger University and Tartu University of Life Sciences.

The programme consists of a pre-learning part in the following themes in moodlerooms.
- Operations management
- Enterprice resource planning
- Process design and optimization
- Lean thinking, management, manufacturing
- Simulations
And an intensive programme in Joensuu 15.-22.4.

Students of Business Economics, International Business, Machine Engineering and IT will be favored in the selection process. Students from other fields can also apply.
