⚡ Energy Saving Week takes place in week 41, but at FinVector, energy efficiency is part of our everyday operations.

Our new manufacturing facility, Finport, was opened in 2024, was designed in accordance with LEED environmental certification principles and has achieved a LEED Silver rating. The certification evaluates factors such as energy efficiency, environmental impact, indoor environmental quality, and sustainable building operations.

At Finport, energy efficiency is actively managed through an advanced building automation system. The system continuously optimizes energy consumption based on real-time demand, including the management of lighting and ventilation, helping to minimize unnecessary energy use.

The Ambassador of India to Finland visited FinVector to hear about our company and the experiences of our Indian professionals working in the gene therapy field.

During the visit, we discussed how Finland’s strength is built not only on a high level of expertise, but also on the way we value diversity. Our education system, for example, supports the integration of international families while encouraging them to maintain their own language and cultural identity. These practices foster a strong sense of belonging and create the foundation for long-term commitment.

Today, FinVector’s Managing Director Matthias Krieger was honored to attend the University of Eastern Finland's opening ceremony for the Academic Year 2026-2027.

Collaboration between academia and industry was a central theme throughout the event. During the panel discussion, Matthias asked the Deans how universities could further strengthen the path from scientific discovery to societal impact, innovation, and commercial success.
