15 years ago, Joel Salatin gave me the courage to farm.
I started reading Joel’s books when the ideas of regenerative agriculture, profitable small farms and livestock as a force for good were still far from mainstream.
His message was simple but powerful:
Farming can heal the land, strengthen communities, build a good livelihood - and be something you genuinely love doing.
Those ideas stayed with me through years when livestock farming was increasingly under attack and the idea that cows could be part of the solution rather than the problem seemed almost radical.
I wanted more farmers to hear that message.
They needed hope.
In 2023, I attended Joel’s Masterclass and had the opportunity to spend time talking with him. I left thinking:
We need to bring Joel to Finland.
Three years later, the time is right.
With MAA-Akatemia growing and increasingly making an impact in Finnish agriculture, Joel Salatin is coming to Finland. 🇫🇮🇺🇸
