My first Finnish National Aerobatic Championships in the books. I was genuinely surprised to take home the gold medal in the Sportsman category with an overall score of 81.715%. 🥇
On Thursday, after waiting out the weather all day, I finally got to fly my first sequence at 21:00. Felt weird flying aerobatics with the sun coming from a completely different angle and my body telling me to go to bed.
Congratulations to my teammate Nils Harald Hansen who put on a fantastic performance and took silver in the Intermediate category! 🥈
To top off an already great week, I earned my Display Authorisation (DA) for airshows after completing the interview and display flight evaluation with the Finnish Civil Aviation Authority.
A huge thanks to everyone at the competition, and those who supported and helped me out along the way. 😊
The biggest thanks goes to my family for putting up with my absence lately! 🙏🏻
Now it's time to refuel for the rest of the vacation ⛽️
