Call for Arts-Based Approaches at !

We invite artists, designers, researchers, and practitioners to submit their work. The session explores how artistic practices can challenge, expand, and energize Human‑Computer Interaction, aligning with the conference theme Pulse. The programme will be presented during the main conference days, complemented by an exhibition showcased at the conference dinner.

This track continues to foster thought-provoking discussions across research traditions, disciplines, and generations. We welcome both critical writings and critical visualizations! Idag lanserar vi inom AILIT - AI-litteracitet inom utbildningen undervisningsmaterialet för åk 7-9. Det är fritt att använda och dela det gärna! Psst - det kan passa för andra än högstadieelever också!

Ett materialpaket om AI-litteracitet för årskurs 7–9 har lanserats.

Vi är jätteglada för att vårt material om AI-litteracitet väcker så stort intresse. Här är det Mattias Wingren och Jonte Henriksson som presenterar och diskuterar det på Opetushallitus - Utbildningsstyrelsen Arena för digitalt lärande. Snart lanserar vi inom AILIT - AI-litteracitet inom utbildningen material för åk 7-9. Håll utkik på Ailits kanaler.
Svenska kulturfonden finansierar arbetet.

Mattias och Jonte deltog i årets Arena för digitalt lärande arrangerat av Utbildningsstyrelsen. Temat för i år var ”Inkluderande och insiktsfull digipedagogik” och projektet var en del av det svenskspråkiga programmet. Vårt bidrag bestod av en kort genomgång av AILIT-projekten och de lä...

🤖 AI i lokaldemokratins tjänst – nu får ni äntligen en första titt bakom kulisserna!

Hur kan AI göra kommunal information mer begriplig, öppen och tillgänglig för alla?
Det är exakt det här projektet utforskar. 🤓

🎯 Målet:
Att utveckla AI-verktyg som gör kommunala mötesprotokoll sökbara och lätta att förstå för:
➡️ medborgare
➡️ tjänstemän
➡️ förtroendevalda

Projektet drivs av forskare vid Informationsteknologi, Statskunskap med medier och kommunikation ÅA Statskunskap i Vasa, samt Experience Lab vid Åbo Akademi – i samarbete med Novia och kommuner i Svenskfinland. 🏫🤝

”Jag har vidareutvecklat en democracy chatbot som kan hämta information ur kommunala protokoll och svara på frågor om dem. Jag har uppdaterat systemet och testat nya metoder och AI-modeller. Utvecklingen går snabbt – det som var nytt i fjol är redan gammalt idag – så det finns mycket att utforska. Jag är väldigt intresserad av AI och ser fram emot vart det här leder💡

🌍 Final meeting of the Metacity URBACT project in Fundão, Portugal!

We had an inspiring conclusion to the Metacity project together with our hosts and lead partner in Fundão and all European partners. It was great to have our collaborators from Nykarleby stad - Uudenkaarlepyyn kaupunki with us!
We shared experiences on advancing digitalization in small cities by creating Integrated Action Plans and implementing Testing Actions. Fundão’s new mayor tried our digital twin of Nykarleby’s market square and called it amazing! 🤩

Metacity has opened new opportunities for small cities to use digital tools and VR, become more prepared for the metaverse – and create new ways to engage and listen to citizens in urban planning.

For Experience Lab, this project was an important piece of the puzzle in our R&D activities on human-technology interaction and citizen engagement.
