International Beer Day was last Friday. 🍻

Nobody told us it was supposed to end there.

We read the fine print and there isn’t one. Beer Day is a suggestion. We treat it as a mandate.

So while everyone else moves on to National Oat Milk Awareness Week or whatever’s next on the calendar, we’ll be over here doing the one thing we’ve never needed a holiday to justify: celebrating beer like it’s Tuesday. 💥

Every day is Beer Day. We just don’t put it on a card.

And while we’re here: In case you need to replace plastics with something better, you know where to find us!

One chapter ends. The real journey begins. 🌱

Our EU-supported development project has officially come to an end—but what we’ve built is only the beginning.

Over the past project we’ve:

🌾 Developed Granulous materials for agriculture and horticulture.

🧪 Successfully completed the proof of concept for our own polymer platform together with VTT.

🍇 Identified new opportunities to replace conventional plastics in horticulture and viticulture.

🚀 Continued moving our commercialization forward—exactly as planned.

EU funding didn’t just support research.

It helped us de-risk the technology and build the foundation for a new generation of sustainable materials made from industrial side streams.

A huge thank you to the European Union, the Kainuu Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment, VTT and everyone who has been part of this journey.

The project may be complete.

Our mission is only getting started.

Material development has been supported by the European Union through the Renewing and Skilled Finland 2021–2027 programme, financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

“If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.” – Henry Ford

Henry Ford didn’t build a faster horse.

He changed the question.

That’s exactly how we see the plastics industry.

Everyone is trying to make plastic less bad.

We’re trying to make it unnecessary.

Granulous transforms brewery side streams into materials designed to replace fossil plastics, work with today’s manufacturing, and return safely to nature after use.

The next materials revolution won’t be a better plastic. It will be something entirely different. 🌱

At some point the pattern gets embarrassing.

We make horticulture products from spent brewing grain. They go into the ground. They stay there. They don’t show up in a Reuters investigation 30 years from now.

You’re welcome, future generations.

Every year, hundreds of millions of tonnes of spent brewing grain go nowhere interesting.

We go somewhere interesting with it.

Granulous converts brewery waste into bio-based, compostable biocomposites — replacing plastics in horticulture, agriculture, viticulture, and beyond.

End of life? It becomes soil.
Not a landfill problem. A soil solution.

Microplastics are the new asbestos.
We’re done pretending otherwise.
