Pravita Arti Singh feels honoured and grateful to be named as Employee of the Year 2026 for Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa.

“It is rewarding to know that my hard work and dedication have been acknowledged,” she said.
“Being named Employee of the Year is a special achievement and I am thankful for the support and encouragement I have received from my colleagues and management throughout my journey at Hideaway.”
Originally from Sigatoka, the 35-year-old was given the Employee of the Year 2026 award for the resort at the Kimaya Fiji annual staff awards night held recently.

Hideaway is a subsidiary of Kimaya Fiji.
Ms Singh is an Accounts Receivable Officer – Resorts, at Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa.
She says the award has motivated her to perform better in her work.
“A recognition like this reinforces the value of commitment, consistency, and hard work. It motivates me to continue learning, improving and contributing positively to the team while maintaining the standards expected in my role,” she said.
Ms Singh worked as a finance trainee at a company in Sigatoka in 2011.

MEET PRAVINESH, OUR EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR 🌟

“Hard work and passion do really make a difference.”

These are the words of Yatule Resort & Spa’s Employee of the Year 2026, Pravinesh Kumar. The 26-year-old from Maro, Sigatoka, was honoured at Kimaya Fiji’s recent annual staff awards night. Yatule Resort & Spa is a subsidiary of Kimaya Fiji.

“I began my journey with Yatule in 2022 as part of my internship, which was a requirement for my Bachelor of Commerce in Hotel Management program at USP,” Mr. Kumar shared. “After successfully completing the internship, I graduated in 2023 and have continued working with the company ever since.”

For the past four years, Pravinesh has served as a Guest Service Agent. “My role requires me to be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring they feel welcome and valued from the moment they arrive,” he explained. “I handle check-ins and check-outs, assist with reservations, and provide information about the hotel’s facilities and local attractions."
He notes that a major part of his job involves solving problems quickly and politely, requiring strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure with a friendly attitude.

Mr. Kumar said being named Employee of the Year is truly humbling and highly motivating. “This honour reflects not just my own efforts, but also the support and teamwork of my colleagues who make every day enjoyable and inspiring. It motivates me to keep raising the standard of hospitality we provide."
He added that the award proves his efforts and guest care are valued, inspiring him to continue growing and going the extra mile.

“I feel very fortunate to work in such a supportive and positive environment at Yatule Resort & Spa. The team here is like a family, everyone is willing to help each other. The management is approachable and encouraging, always guiding us to grow and perform at our best. Having that kind of teamwork and leadership makes me proud to be part of this org

LANDERS BAY RESORT'S RISING STAR OF 2026

Being recognised as the Rising Star of the Year 2026 for Landers Bay Resort and Spa has motivated him to do better in his work.
Amitesh Rajiv Gupta, 27, who is from Lautoka was given the award at the recent Kimaya Fiji annual staff awards event held at the resort in Vuda, Lautoka.
Landers Bay Resort and Spa is a subsidiary company of Kimaya Fiji.
Mr Gupta was in New Zealand for about eight years completing his studies after which he went to a culinary school.
He graduated from there and retured to Fiji and worked for two hotels before starting as a chef at Landers Bay Resort about one year ago.
"My job at Landers requires me to be very calm, attentive and to do my utmost best as the results show on the plate when guests order," he said.
"This means culinary excellence as I am responsible for making fresh high quality dishes that meet the resort's standards and satisfy diverse guest palates."
Mr Gupta says he consistently follows recipes and presentation guidelines to ensure that every guest receives a professional dining experience, and to cater to their dietary requirements.
For him, being professional means representing the Landers Bay hospitality through work ethics and contributing to a positive team dynamic within the kitchen.
On being recognised as the Rising Star of the Year, he said, "It feels very good to know that the hard work I’ve put in these past 12 months was recognised."
"And I feel very humbled to know that there were many others at Landers Bay Resort who also put in the work but I was chosen as this year's Rising Star.
"This motivates me to do better and to aim to get the Culinary Star of the Year award next year."
Mr Gupta also thanks the Landers Bay Resort staff for making the past year a memorable one through their hard work and guest reviews.
"A special thank you to my kitchen team who are always looking out for each other and pushing each other to do their best.
"The Kimaya Group is doing something really special in the tourism industry through its three resorts and through other sustainable and charitable programs.
"I cannot wait for what the future holds for it as I truly do believe that the Kimaya way will not only make tourism better for Fiji but the South Pacific as well," said Mr Gupta.

Speaking about his job at the resort, he said, “Landers Bay Resort requires me to upgrade the standard of food, quality and freshness whilst minimising wastage and controlling food cost.”

MEET OUR RESERVATIONS AGENT FOR INDIA

She completes three years of service with Tour Managers Fiji today. Originally from Nawaka in Nadi, Shania Singh is the company’s Reservations Agent for visitors from India. “I arrange everything with regards to travel and tours for visitors from India. I also look after queries/bookings on Expedia and coordinate the Kimaya Edge health and wellness program,” she said.

At the Kimaya Fiji annual staff awards held last Saturday, Ms Singh was named as Employee of the Year 2026 for Tour Managers. She also scooped the Golden Step Award for health and wellness. Tour Managers is a subsidiary company of Kimaya Fiji. But things were not easy for the 28-year-old to get to where she is today. “I was studying in university and doing internship somewhere in Nadi but was released after six months because of the COVID-19 pandemic,” she said. “Then I worked for three months at another place before joining Tour Managers on this date three years ago. I complete three years of my service at the company today. This is my first actual job at Tour Managers, and it has been a learning experience for me so far. I have been able to learn a lot during my three years with the company. The push and support from my senior work colleagues and the management team is very good,” she said. As for the Golden Step Award that she bagged, Ms Singh said she walks a lot because she believes in maintaining good physical and mental health.
