Nasinu is more than just the largest municipality in Fiji, it is a town full of life, opportunity, and resilience.

Home to a growing population and serving as a key residential hub for those working in Suva and Nausiori, Nasinu continues to expand with busy roads, thriving communities, and new developments shaping its future.

But with growth comes challenges. From increasing traffic to infrastructure demands, and a large number of informal settlements, many families in Nasinu continue to face real struggles while striving for a better life.

Yet, through strong community spirit, partnerships, and forward-thinking plans, Nasinu is moving towards becoming a smart, inclusive, and sustainable city by 2030.

Together, we can build a stronger Nasinu, one that supports every community and leaves no one behind.

Yesterday, we laid to rest someone very dear to us, Police Constable Nemani Koroca, a true servant of the people and a pillar of our Nasinu community.

Constable Koroca was more than just an officer, he was a familiar and reassuring presence to many. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, offering support to anyone in need with humility, compassion, and a warm smile that touched so many lives. His life was one of wisdom, love, and genuine care for others.

A dedicated officer and a devoted family man, he served our community with honour and integrity. He was also part of the pioneering team that established the Inter-Agencies here in Nasinu, strengthening unity and cooperation for the betterment of our people. His contributions have laid a strong foundation that will continue to guide us forward.

While our hearts are heavy with his passing, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the work he began. We will continue to walk the path he has set before us, serving with the same spirit of kindness, commitment, and unity that he so clearly demonstrated.

You will be deeply missed, Sir. Your presence, your wisdom, and your unwavering dedication will never be forgotten.

Moce mada, Sir. Rest in peace.
