During the first Parliament sitting week from 9thβ13th March 2026, SODELPA Ministers made strong contributions outlining their priorities and commitment to serving the people of Fiji.
Hon. Viliame Gavoka β Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation
Hon. Gavoka emphasized the importance of strengthening Fijiβs tourism sector as a key driver of economic growth. He highlighted government efforts to expand tourism opportunities, improve air connectivity, and ensure that tourism benefits reach local communities across the country.
Hon. Ifereimi Vasu β Minister for iTaukei Affairs
Hon. Vasu reaffirmed the governmentβs commitment to protecting and advancing the interests of the iTaukei people. He spoke on the importance of safeguarding iTaukei land, culture, and traditions while ensuring development initiatives continue to support indigenous communities throughout Fiji.
Hon. Aseri Radrodro β Minister for Education
Hon. Radrodro outlined major reforms currently underway in Fijiβs education system. He stressed the need to strengthen education quality, improve learning resources, and address long-standing challenges within schools to ensure every Fijian child has access to better educational opportunities.
